No Tweet, no media reporting anything, no photos of Raiola in a pool, no Pogba sightings, no pics of kits from the Adidas store. no leaks from Italy, Di Marzio and the gang either.

There's nothing happening at all. This thread is just dead. Massive disappointment.

Would have hoped for some flight trackers to be involved by now or photos of some blood samples?!

So has the Telegraph article been dismissed as rubbish then, ie nothing happening today?

I thought they were quite good , or use to be anyway.

No, we can't. He is a Juventus player. He is scheduled to return to pre-season training with them. He can only join us once given permission by the selling club. And again, he deserves the same break as his compatriots like Evra and Griezmann.

Apologies, missed that part at the top of your post.

Outside of the BBC I think it's better to rank journos rather than news outlets themselves. For example there are some journos at the Mail and Mirror that are more reliable than some Telegraph/Times/Guardian reporters. The BBC are an exception because the story generally has to be a near confirmed 100% fact before they report. All the rest of the media outlets are very much open to scrutiny.

If he is staying at Juventus then fair enough. But if he is joining us and all is agreed as rumoured then I very much doubt Juventus care how much holiday he gets.

And besides Marca/AS, maybe the Sun and maybe a few other extremely unreliable outlets, I don't think any paper has actually made any claims about when it's going to be announced. And as shit as the Telegraph might be, it's far more reputable than the other papers I mentioned.

That's a bit of a cop and very convenient out isn't it? Even if he was bullshitting and it wasn't done in 48hrs, there's no way the muppets on here would know, as apparently nothing will be announced till he actually signs

I thought it was generally accepted that we had bid for Ramos last Summer?

Yes it is. And I'm probably the first one to agree that footy journos have it too easy. Always making reservations to somehow keep their reputation.

But he did in fact say that the agreement between clubs, agent and player would be agreed in 48 hours. Not that it would be announced. The Telegraph said earlier today that it's a done deal and that it will be announced today.

Huh? That was true. We did bid for Ramos. Ramos himself confirmed it.
 
Next Monday is actually the latest for this deal to be done. I mean we can't go on further and Pogba would already be off his holidays.

Well sure he didnt play as many games as Pogba and Pogba is still a Juventus and as of right now his league starts almost 10 days after us so he has more time to get fit. If Pogba was a United player already maybe he would have with the squad.

I've worked in this building for over a year and the only other time I've seen the chopper arrive was the other week when we announced Zlatan.

Its not about it being a lie or not, its about it not amounting to anything either. The poster I quoted was saying he waiting for BBC to report on it, but as Ramos thing showed we still didnt get anywhere.

By the time BBC report something as 'set to sign' United usually has already tweeted about it.
 
Had a dream last night that I woke up and checked the Pogba thread.

It had the words Confirmation Imminent in the title.

I was delighted but when I opened the thread there was nothing just a blank screen.

I tried to go back but it was locked.

Cant believe this is messing with my subconscious like this.

He was still on the bench and trained for every game right up to the final. The fact he didnt actually play the final doesnt matter. He did come on in the semi

Like I say he was obviously very eager to meet his new team and manager. Fair play to him

Only BBC are absolute 100% reliable and they haven't mentioned anything major regarding Pogba...just that we have a passing interest in him, but nothing certain.
When Jose was in talks with MUFC back in January, I think it was, BBC reported this. 5 months later, he signed for us.

So I will wait for confirmation from either Riaola, Pogba, MUFC, Juve or BBC.

Could be Raiola's? Both players are his clients and United haven't really dealt with him much before this season
 
Muppetry aside, why would a chopper land at OT, then fly again to Carrington, then fly back to OT to deposit its payload, then fly off again? Why not just fly right to Carrington? Or if the passengers went via car to OT first, why not just drive to Carrington instead of faffing about with a chopper? Genuinely confused
