We thought it had gone a bit quiet on the Pogba front, since it was announced the player was out for the season injured, reports surrounding his future have been thin on the ground - which, especially in Italy, is a bit of an odd situation.

It was about a week ago when we brought you the last update which was when Italian press seemed to be turning on their confidence of signing the Manchester United youngster. From a position of being sure the deal would happen they were using that confidence.

Calciomercato and TMW both said Pogba had been offered €1.2m per season by Manchester United in a deal which guaranteed his salary would increase year on year so that by the final year of a four year contract, he would be on €1.8m per season.

They said this was more than Juventus had offered at any stage. But now TMW have just reported that Italy's version of Sky Sports News has announced today that Paul Pogba has finally made his mind up, and wants to join Turin club Juventus. They say the deal will become official soon.

This isn't the first time the channel have announced the Pogba deal was about to be made official and our own Sky Sports 'announced' a few months back that he was staying at Old Trafford, so don't take the information for anything more than it is - yet.

There have been players who won World Player of the Year who either signed a new contract or transferred to another club with half the fuss.
 
I bet Sky Italia's equivilant of Andy Burton is sitting there now with 4 phones on him.
 
I couldn't careless. Pogba is a maybe. Maybe he'll be great, maybe he won't.

Is it possible to agree terms with both juve & united and then to decide later which club to sign for?
 
He's obvioulsy not staying here. He has had months to make his mind up. We don't want players here that constantly flirt with clubs elsewhere. Lets sign Barkley and another experienced midfielder over the summer and Pogba will be very quickly forgotten

It's a bit disrespectful to the club to keep them waiting so long. Particularly for a kid who's nobody and has done nothing.

Not saying I disagree with you...but when you have big clubs chasing your signature, your current manager bigging you up weekly, you can't blame him, if he doesn't go along with the notion, 'he is a nobody'.

Yes but we know feck all about the situation. Raiola said we've been great about the whole situation. I'm sure Pogba is on good terms with everyone at Old Trafford, so I don't see why he's being disrespectful. He'll be talking with them all the time about any concerns or what he thinks.
 
Completely lost the will to be arsed about this. Pogba is probably years off rectifying the problems we have currently, and is just not worth the fuss yet.

Potentially, he's a ridiculous footballer, but this whole thing has become a bit of a farce. If he stays, great, if not, meh.
 
For some reason, I really hope he signs the contract, and then the club flogs him to PSG or Malaga for a high fee. Tells him to go enjoy all the money he will earn there, while winning nothing.
 
The cnut can feck off for all I care. Has played what two matches for the first team, is 19 years old and has a contract dilemma?

To be honest I don't blame him at all. Its not like he is a United fan since he was young, and its not like he's leaving us for money because apparently we are offering him a similar amount. I think he wants to see how the season will finish, if both teams will win their leagues, and see how the state is in midfield for the two teams. No doubt that he is disappointed he didn't get more opportunities in midfield considering how weak it has been for us, even starting Rafael in there over him once (a disaster that one). Both us and Juve are big clubs, and nobody can deny that SAF is coming to the end of his reign, so I'm sure Pogba would like to know how we will be in the next few years, if we will be in decline or on the rise.

Us as fans obviously will call him a cnut if he leaves, but if you think about it, this is a huge decision in his life and not a simple one. He has to choose between the cities, the general lifestyle, where does he think he will get more opportunities to make an impact, what league suits him better, whose style does he like more. I wouldn't be mad at him at all if he left, completely his choice, he's a young kid with his whole career ahead of him, so obviously he will take time on this decision.

It's not like he was constantly in the press, flirting with Juve or constantly changing his mind, actually I don't think he once said anything on the subject. Its just the press that have gone into overload about this one.
 
I hope he does go, if he stays it might make Fergie think twice before strengthening the midfield. I understand that the counter argument to that could be 'well if Fergie thinks he's the answer then he must be good enough' but from what I've seen he's not the answer not for a good number of years anyway
