I think he means that having Sir Alex there is a big bonus that makes up for some of the money... But not enough.
Huh? What have we done so wrong for him to say that?
See ya. Have fun at Juve. We don't need double - minded players. We need 100% committed ones.
I don't understand the complaints. We lured him to our club based on wages, as we've done with numerous youth players at smaller clubs - and those clubs have complained and in at least one case reported us. Now karma is kicking our arse and Juve are the team swooping in for youth.
We do this to other teams, why is it a big deal that a team would do it to us? And if a boy is willing to leave his home, his country, and his club to play for us and earn more, why wouldn't that same mentality apply to leaving for an even bigger contract?
Fair play to Juve. They've seen how he plays and they've seen that we trust him enough to make a few first team appearances, so they've put in a fair bid. It's a gamble, but we all know Pogba will be class if given the right training. For all the complaints around Juve, they do develop young players nicely.
Fergie is the last giant from a world when football wasn't about money, when managers were in control, and when players had very little if no rights and agents were merely parents looking to earn a few bob. His ways are stern and true and have led this club to successes never imagined. But those stubborn ways are going to cost us in some ways too. Like with Pogba.
Let's just sell him and move on and accept that fact Fergie was banking on Pogba and Morrison to step up this season and both have fecked away.
Has he not gone yet?
This is really starting to bore me. If he wants to piss off, let him.
I cannot understand why any black player would want to go and play in Italy where it is almost a given fact that they will get racially abused by opposition fans.
No...
Jones wasn't similar. He has played 36 games for us this season for feck sake. If Pogba was 'similar' then he would have started some himself, instead of sitting in the reserves.
That would be 10 PL starts to Pogba's none.
That's beside the point anyway. Why are you so convinced that Smalling and Bebe joined United on a higher salary than what is on offer to Pogba?
At least read the post 'for fecks sake' - Last season. both 19 both limited in experience, not similar?
If he is regarded as one of the best talents for his Age then he is worth it, if not then let him go. Simples.

Yeah.. Morrison and Pogba are completely different cases.
and raiola is full of shit... as most agents are.
He isnt going to burn his bridges with Fergie. That'll be stupid.
From his procrastinatory behaviour I always thought he was likely to go.
But the interesting question is why? Apparently Juve place a higher value on our young player than we do ourselves. Why are they willing to offer him more?
Surely it can't simply be a matter of a sweetener to his agent. He's 19 not 9. Why would he allow his agent to determine his future.?
has he fecked off yet? Good riddance
Did I say salary? Or did I say transfer fee OR salary?
My point is valid. United have signed unproven players before and on big transfers or big wages. You seem to think they haven't even though you haven't refuted the two examples that I gave.
And as I said already, United had agreed to sign Smalling before he played 10 games for Smalling.
I don't remember what you said but as there's no transfer fee involved here the only issue relevant is whether or not the two players you mentioned joined United on a higher salary than what is being offered to Pogba.
Seeing as you've no idea whether they did or not (and I suspect they didn't) your point isn't valid in the slightest.
There are plenty of players we have bought who haven't proved it on the field of play yet we have either paid big money or big wages.
I don't see why Pogba is causing that much controversy. Unless he isn't actually that good...
I still don't understand why a player gets loads of shit from fans when the club DECIDE to run his contract down into the last year.
What's he actually done wrong?
Jesus this thread is still going!?
He's leaving most likely, get over it. He's barely ever been involved in our first team and is still overwhelmingly likely NOT to be a United standard player just like the last fifty odd academy prospects touted as the next big thing on here...
My point is valid. I said United have signed unproven players before on big transfers OR big wages.
Since Smalling and Bebe both came on big transfers and were unproven when signed or when the deal was put in place, they come into the bracket as being unproven players who were signed for big transfers.
As usual, you try and twist something someone else says to try and prove yourself correct. Or else you misread my original post. One or the other.
I remember what I said. In fact, I'll post it so you can remember what it is you disagreed with whilst not actually giving a reason for your opinion other to say that there will be no transfer fee for Pogba.
I highlighted to or bit to emphasise the fact that I used the word "or".
We haven't "run down" his contract, we just hadn't extended it before this season because he was a child. What had he done to deserve a huge payrise prior to this season? He got in and around the first team, and as such was offered a new contract in line with his new position. He wanted vastly more than a kid who's played as few games as he has is usually offered. He's a greedy bastard, who wants far more of our* money than he could possibly be said to deserve.
Is it really hard to see what he's done wrong? It's bad enough when Rooney and the like take us for a ride, never mind some kid. I want him to sign, of course, but if he does then I know we'll be dealing with this shit every couple of years from him and his tosser of an agent.
*I mean this part literally, not in terms of the club, but in terms of mine and yours and every other matchgoing fan's money.
But you're equating unproven to mean the same as current ability. Fergie obviously saw enough in Smalling to take the chance on him and thought he could go straight in the team/squad which he did. Pogba when signed went straight in to the u18's and we haven't heard of him in a first team capacity until this season, and some of his few appearances can arguably have been attributed to us trying to show him he can play here. From Fergie's actions, not taking him on tour and then not really including him much until he had too, suggests he didn't foresee a big role for him this season.
As such his wage reflects that.
Bebe is a fair shout as he is obv well below par, but whilst his fee was big we don't know what he was actually on, not to mention that deal seemed very out of the ordinary given how poor he is.
He's playing for the reserves today, or he's in the squad at least.
Yep. Hence why I said in my original post that he may not actually be that good.
I'd be surprised if we would not do all we can, everything we can to secure his future at the club, if he is as good as some think. Perhaps he isn't actually that good.
Potentially, I've only seen brief bits of him in the reserves, haven't been blown away by him in his last few outings for us and he was distinctly average in the cup games, in comparison Morrison looked to be a very good player. But there are enough people raving about him at the club and on here to make me think he's a talent. Although it seems only Juventus are seriously contending for his signature and you would think if he was such a hot prospect everyone would be trying to snap him up. I reckon the truth is as usual somewhere in the middle, talented no doubt but maybe not the sure thing others have made him out to be. Always maintained that if he was ready to contribute to the first team Fergie would have played him, he's never been afraid to play youth if they're at the right level.
