Ben Hibbs tweeted Pogba was seen out in Manchester last night in Rosso, I doubt he's in Turin already. I think still think he is going mind but is another made up Podga story.

This lad must be pretty fecking stupid if he's agreed to sign for a club who have no idea what they're going to do with him next season. He could potentially be getting games at United but instead he's going to be on loan to Udinese or something equally pointless. Makes no sense.

Probably abit like Hazard. His agent is getting 'Paidddddddddd'

I can't believe that he'd sign for Juve if they were planning on loaning him out. If that's all he wants, a loan deal to Udinese, we'd have been happy to accommodate.

Most of the reports claimed he was being offered the same money as United was offering, I think even the agent said that. But if he's not going to get playing time the only reason to move would be money.

We may have offered him the same deal, but he'll get some sort of bonus from signing up, right? And the agent will be getting a few million for bringing Pogba to Juve. This is a big problem with football, imo, that from an agent's perspective they get more money if a player moves than stays at the same team. So of course agents will be constantly angling for a move. And it doesn't necessarily mean they're willing to take their client to an inferior situation, Pogba will get a shot at Juve and their training is surely excellent.

United were offering him more money if the reports are correct, the only person not been given any money by united was Raiola.

I can easily believe he agreed on that. He'll get to play a lot more at Udinese, who by the way are in Champions League, than he would at United or Juventus.

Agents are ruining football, the system is just set out to cause problems. Why should the amount of money their agent gets play any role in deciding which club a player should go to? It makes no sense.

They should introduce set fees for agents, or each club should have it's own legal department or external affiliates who deal with transfers and contract renewals. There's a statutory obligation to offer impartial and objective advice, whereas the current system has no such protections.

What's the point of agents?

They just seem to leech on, and offer very little. Why was Hazard's agent given £6million? It makes no sense, it's just not necessary.

fecking agents.

Good luck to Pogba anyway. If he doesn't want to stay at United, then that's his right and his decision. He might regret it one day.

I agree Theon, agents are ruining football.

Well it is not in his agents best interest to send him somewhere, that he does not believe he will do well. It his in his agents best interest that Pogba has a great career therefore earning said agent loads of cash. He does not want a one of off sum of cash. He wants 12 years worth of steady cash flow from his client.

Bullshit that agents don't look out for their clients. They need them to have a long and good career.

That's true enough, but if an agent can move a client sideways, say from United to Juve, then he does his client no harm and gets a few million for himself.

And that's if we're saying that all agents look at the long term, which I'm sure isn't true. Look at Anelka's career, I think most agents would consider that ideal.

I think it's like in any business there are some people who look to get a steady return from it and some who are just in for the quick buck.

Riola seems to be more interested in making money by moving his players at least that's what the transfer history of his top clients suggest.

He's been succesful in making me give absolutely no shit in whether he stays or goes now after dragging it out so long.

Agents have a role to play in helping (usually poorly educated) young footballers get the contract their talent deserves.

My problem with agents is that they should never be allowed to charge the club fees. Every penny they earn should come from their clients, the footballers.

Exactly, clubs paying agents is something that should be prohibited by the governing bodies, it creates a massive potential for agents to act against the best interests of their client

well, it's a bit like salary caps - they only need to do a bit of paper shuffling and no matter what the legislation, the agent will get his from the player who will demand enough to cover the agent's fee.

Not really, a lot can happen over 12 years, player could get injured, not develop or even just decide to move agents.

They can only have short term deals these days so obviously that will encourage short term management strategies.

Why is this saga dragging out so long. If he was going to Juventus surely it would have been a quick switch.

Some agents legitimately do work on behalf of clubs. Others use it as a device to get more money for the player in a roundabout way, i.e the club pays the agent so the player doesn't have to.

There are agents out there who don't sign individual players, they only 'officially' work on behalf of clubs, so the players they sort transfers for are never subjected to agent fees (or an equivalent employment benefit when the clubs pays it on their behalf).

When clubs pay an agent for a transfer you can't help but feel it's like a 'delievery fee'. Well done, you convinced your client to choose us, here's some money for you.

Many agents do good things, those at the top like Kia take many young players under their wings, make sure they have the food and access to proper training that they may not have gotten otherwise. But they do this because, in the end, it makes them a huge amount of money when a few of those players go on to sign 8 figure transfer contracts.

In the States, agents are famous for being some of the most insincere lickspittles that exist, putting a giant shit eating grin on their faces while pretending to relate to primarily young black men from an entirely different culture. They're the top of the salesman food-chain, I hate salesmen but a good one can convince me to sign over my power of attorney with a smile on my face. A teenager doesn't stand a chance.

I reckon it would take a pretty cluey young guy to go against the advice of his agent esp as he is going to present any offer favourably to suit himself. Some of these players can't wipe their arse without consulting their agents. I remember Rooney being merked by Rio into coughing up a few bob and he was at a total loss and just said to Colleen "ooh we'd better see what Paul says eh"? I'm sure they have an inkling of who they want to play for but when it's all in the balance the agent can tip it to suit.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed he is in Turin to complete his transfer to Italian champions Juventus.

The 19-year-old turned down the offer of a new contract with United and could become Juve's first summer signing.

"I am thinking about my future, I am in Italy with Juventus to discuss my transfer," Pogba wrote on Twitter.

Pogba left Le Havre to join United's youth academy in 2009. He made just three league appearances for the Red Devils last season.

He's not on Twitter.

You've got to love it. On the day he might leave, we make a big signing to overshadow any major impact his departure will have. He'll be gutted. He probably wanted to be the big media story over here.

If that even entered his thinking he wouldn't be leaving. As has been stated a million times; he doesn't have any ties to the club, he's doing what he believes is the best for him....good luck to him, let's move on
