Was predictable since the first rumors started, people wanted to ignore them but he clearly wanted out. Manchester United was not his first choice, it was obvious, so good riddance and I hope he will live to regret his decision.

It should be written into youth players contracts that if we're investing time and money into their development they can't just feck off without putting back in.

Tbh if this goes tits up for Pogba then it could prove to work out in our favour. Might show a few others players at the club who might be considering following in Pogba's steps that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. We have a proven record at developing younger players and they should trust in that.
Morrison been a head case, Pogba fecking off and now Will Keane getting injured for 9months I fear the class of 2011 may produce nothing for Man United after promising so much.
Jesse Lingard and Larnell Cole could surprise a few people yet.
And Michael Keane, Tom Thorpe and Sam Johnstone have excellent potential.

Is there anyway we can set-up kids with agents ourselves when we poach them? I'm not too clear on rules with representing kids, but if we had a couple of Mendes-like agents that we can work with, that might avoid parasites like this getting claws into the young players.

Rumour has it he has the promise of going on loan to Udinese as Kwadwo Asmaoah's first team replacement.
That could be true. Ticks all the boxes. His agent gets his nice payoff, Pogba gets 1st team football and Juve land both Kwadwo and Paul.
But his sole argument for going was that he'd have better first team opportunities... we could have loaned him out, too. So very, very strange.
Yes, but loaned him out to who? Udinese have European football and if it is true that Asamoah goes to Juve, then it would almost be a like for like replacement. It seems this was part of the deal from the get go as such. I think Pogba knew he'd go to Udinese and be able to play in a good team.
His contract has expired. Hence he can move.
