You wouldn't get £120m for him if you sold him in a few years though.

Why not though? This guy's a superstar already, if he came here and developed even further his name would be printed on bloody mils of jerseys and Madrid love selling jerseys. Prices are getting higher and higher every single year so in 4-6 years 120 won't sound as ridiculous as it does now and he'll probably be around his best years in those couple of years.

To me he's bound to be simply the best in his position.

It doesn't sting for me, he was never really part of the first team and we ourselves poached him from Le Havre. Great talent though and wish him well, the one good thing is his agent has no involvement with our club.

Not just the best in his position, but he's also flashy which will create more hype.

I didn't realise BT post clips of the goals in the Seria A game they're broadcasting. Nice touch.

what are these rumours with a swap deal Cavani-Pogba about? Has it some substance or just bullshit again?

Everytime I see a vid of him for Juve, he doesn't seem to be playing in the role we need? he has a free role, roams around down the left wing a fair bit.. is he playing as a proper centre mid too?

By vid, do you mean a YouTube highlight?

They looked to be playing with a 4312 tonight, with Pogba on the left hand side of the 3. I'm not sure he quite had a 'free role', but he was roaming a little.

A midfield three of Pogba, Di Maria and Blind for the future would be unbelievable.

Talk of it being Cavani as well as Veratti too. feck knows with PSG.

Don't really care about this guy, he was too greedy too early, yes he was right to be confident in his own ability but a bit more patience and that could have been borne out in a United kit, and I'm sure he'd now be been paid alot more than he currently is if he'd stayed.

Far play to Juve for luring him with the offer of plenty of early dosh, but no point in pining over him as a United fan, would rather shop elsewhere for a midfielder when the time comes.

Except it had nothing to do with money so it's a bit tiring still having to hear people act as if he left for money. The reality is he wanted more playing time and wasn't getting it, so left.

Tbf i just find the thing where he says that when Rafael played over him in midfield for that Arsenal game (think it was Arsenal) just an excuse, his time would have come, and he would have developed just the same with time.
It was the match against Blackburn. His time would have come, but much slower than it did came. In fact, there were already talkf for a loan back then.

He did by far the best choice for his career.

In what fecking world is that a "screamer". The keeper was awful.

it has all his touches, and yes. For France he is usually quite central, but is he getting enough games as a proper centre mid which is what we need.

I think that's a fair assessment, he is a CM for Juventus but has definitely more freedom than with France and is often seen linking up with their LWB or LB. A talent like that, you don't wanna restrict him to an area of the pitch (that's for Juve) but at the same time Deschamps wants to see more discipline from him, specially when it comes to defending.

We have one of the strongest midfields in the world as well as a solid defence, our attack is the only thing stopping us from beating the top teams. Our tactics under our last coach extremely limited us as well our new coach has more emphasis on attack and it is paying off.

We have Dortmund, i think they are favourites but it's still possible for us to go through.

In their current form? No chance. It would really surprise me if you won't beat them easily.

A midfield three of Pogba, Di Maria and Blind for the future would be unbelievable.

It would more likely be a 3 man midfield of Blind, Strootman and Pogba, with Di Maria perhaps in the role Pereyra had tonight for Juve and Rooney up top with someone.

This is quite interesting that so many people would take him back, even though it would require a big fee and we would look like fools all things considered.

That said, I would take him too.

We already look like fools, and we would look like even bigger fools if we let potentially the best midfielder around in the future sign for any other EPL club.

Basically this. I'd rather be a fool with Pogba than a fool without him.

We wouldn't look like fools if we bought him back for a big fee. We'd look badass. We'd be unzipping our jeans and laying our massive bollocks on the table as the rest of league cowers at our financial muscle.

You get the impression Woodward actually believes that with the way he conducts business!

Nah but it's important to learn from our mistakes. We would look bigger fools if we didn't go for him just because we thought we'd look like fools. If he lived up to his potential, even if we had to sell him - the price would probably be big...Definitely worth it

But does he fit our filloshophy?

Anyone else remember the uproar on here a few months back when someone photoshopped the United wall clock into his instagram selfie?

Transfer fees always raise as years go by. Just look at how much James went for.

Yes but we'd be buying Pogba for somewhere near the world record if you believe the hype, so there's no way that'd double in a few years!

He's going to be the Ultimate CM package in a few years time and he would already be our best midfielder. Pisses me off when people say he cant defend, he's incredible physical and reads the play well.

should make Juve an offer they cant refuse (sorry). That goal wasn't all that mind.

Not too sure about that, but if true he should have hung in there then shouldn't he, if you're good enough you will ultimately play, Fergie wasn't not playing him just to spite him he thought at that stage it was the best thing for his career, and you just can't argue with Fergie's judgement on all things football, most players would have stayed but he choose to go, we just have to live with it........ or buy him back.

He can defend without a doubt, he just has a cool demeanour that makes people think he's a bit lazy when it comes to it.

As others have said we will look like even bigger fools if we don't try to get him back.
