These folks are losing the plot over Biden's win, Harris aside, who is probably the only sane member of this gang left.
Until recently I used to naively think a lot of them were sound, curious minds who were willing to entertain some of the more heterodox ideas within reason and just happened to be critical towards the increasing illiberal tendencies of the left, and rightly so. Now I'm beginning to think most of them are secret Trumpers all along, operating under the guise of vague maxims like 'listening to both sides of an argument' and 'marketplace of ideas' when there isn't a valid argument nor a groundbreaking idea in the first place.

I thought it might be Rubin....who seems to have fallen into Trumpism of late.
I'm not really aware of the 'work' of the other members of this supposed group, but I have listened to a few of Harris' podcasts, some of which descended into what can only be described as multi-hour diatribes against Trump (and Trumpism).
Harris' contempt for The Donald borders on the pathological, so if Rubin et al have shown any signs of sympathising with him, I'm not surprised that Harris has personally disavowed them.
Yes indeed. I just watched one of Rubin's recent videos where he seems to be dabbling in a bit of Trump enabling behavior. He's widely regarded as grifiting charlatan at this point, so it wouldn't surprise me if its him. Rogan apparently won't have him on any longer as well.
Prager called rubin a fake directly to his face, and on camera. Basically saying how great it was that the right had a useful stooge to prop up in videos. Whilst rubin is essentially an immoral husk at this stage, he gets to live a millionaire lifestyle selling the con, so ill never feel any sympathy for him
Was he addicted to benzos? Not sure about this but the guy went on about how addiction is just weakness and not a mental issue. Is he weak too

I remember him talking about the physiological aspects of addiction and that doesn't sound like something he'd say or think, based on that discussion at least
I have heard him on clips talking about addiction and it's just a matter of individual discipline and how a person's with good discipline will definitely overcome addiction. What's the deal here then? Says there's no suggestion of wrongdoing on his part which I'm sure is true but why would they be speaking with him?
Article is behind a paywall but if there are messages back and forth between him and the deceased near to time of death wouldn’t it be standard practice for the police to want an interview? Even if there’s nothing incriminating in those messages.
Bit of a mad twist all the same. He gets in a lot of scrapes for someone who makes a living telling other people they need to get their shit together.

I guess I'm surprised they would bother to contact him given they can presumably just read the instagram interactions between the two. Though thinking about it they may just want to confirm whether there was correspondence between the two on any other platform.

Tbf Peterson is totally a Metal Gear character - Has a philosophy and world based mostly on wiki articles, poised/betrayed by his family which caused him spent time in a unknown hospital, was presumed dead at one point and his biggest weakness is apple cider. He's basically a boss who can take rockets to the face but can be defeated by a water pistol to the groin.

Reading about those older posts about Peterson's health issues, I can't help but feel he might have subjected himself to a lot of quackery. Why would an extremely wealthy Canadian/American go to an anesthesiologist in Serbia?
Most "unique" doctors that may be worth travelling very far are highly specialized surgeons who are very good in areas (sports orthopaedics, etc), I can't imagine what an anesthesiologist would do that it's so unique.

I don't get it either. That and the beef diet. I don't blame him for taking benzo's when he learnt that his wife had cancer, but you don't really need to go to Serbia and go into a coma to taper of them in a effective way.

He's essentially a vague, slow-talking and more educated version of Ben Shapiro. They both appeal to the "facts don't care about your feelings" bullshit targeted towards pathetic men. Oh and they both have incredibly squeaky and annoying voices.
Just to chime in, I've been massively disappointed of late, as a podcast i was enjoying made by one of the guys from the first season of love island Chris Williamson has slowly transformed over the last 2 years from pretty relatable fitness information and some other bits and bobs into a full blown alt right pipeline where he has smelt the grifter money and now he does the right wing circuit of getting people like Rubin et al on his show, and its just a massive cringe fest having this dude go from a good platform and like 10k youtube subs to absolute degeneracy and 110k subs. Its full of "both sides" "Deep state" "trump is misunderstood".
Really upsetting how people can pivot into lunacy at the drop of a hat, and its all down to people like shapiro, peterson, crowder, rubin platforming bullshit to normal people looking for answers to simple questions.

The link between the alt-right and carnivore/keto diets is fascinating. I wonder why it's so prevalent? Is it because of fragile masculinity? Eating meat is considered manly for some insane reason, so that's probably why.
