Philadelphia Union vs Manchester United - Pre-Season Tour

Good grief, Lou Macari just stopped himself saying football to then say "soccer" even when there's no Yanks etc being interviewed. Talk about taking the when in Rome concept too far.

"Soccer as they call it" being said left right an centre, arrgggggh!!!!! :(

So no Nani then :(, i must admit i really do hate Fergies pre game fitness updates there absolutely shite, nine times out of ten if he says a players likely to play some part they never even make the bench let alone play.

Might just sway me into giving into tiredness, was looking forward to watching Nani.

HOLY CRAP BALLS!!!!

Scholes and Giggs in the middle!? I think we're gonna get spanked here.

Couldn't it be a middle three with Cleverley in there?

I think we'll batter them, personally. When you've got them two in there it usually goes to either extreme, we dominate possession and the game flows and the players interchange positions in a way we so rarely see these days...or we get reckless and get spanked.

I don't think the Union have it in them to spank us, and Scholes and Giggs are always great in the friendlies.

Obertan is playing, his forehead might open up to reveal little tiny aliens living in there tonight.

fast approaching
just start the fecking match
its 5am .. please start it

Imagine getting excited for Manchester United to come to town, then being faced with that lineup.

:lol::lol::lol:

A chance to see Giggs and Scholes and you think some would be complaining?

Anthems? Is this the World Cup?

Oh and something else I noticed. The Lincoln Financial Field website says this.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Union welcome reigning English Premier League champion Manchester United to Lincoln Financial Field on Wednesday, July 21

Maybe they should actually do their research and see that the reigning Champions are Chelsea.

Well if they don't then they're absolutely crazy. I wonder how much these people paid to see a reserve quality side...

When I was but a wee nipper, I saw Quinton Fortune stuff Shrewsbury Town, and I was damn grateful for it.

These Americans can be happy they've got Scholes and Giggs.

Who saw Obertan's 'mascot'? feck me he was taller than him! I genuinely thought it was a new signing!

Apparently Bradely could have called up that Philly guy Le Toux who has 7 goals and 7 assists this year, reckon he would have been a better inclusion than some...
