How the actual feck have we managed to get ourselves back in with a shout of getting top 4 again? Honestly, I gave up on it about 2 weeks ago and was hoping for Europa League success instead. I see on Blue Moon a lot of moaning about the result yesterday.
Obviously, the 'disallowed goal' which hadn't after all gone out but given it was in by only a centimetre or so, you can hardly blame the Lino for not giving it.
But here's the thing. They believe the ref was unduly lenient towards an Arsenal team that was thuggish in its approach putting both Silva and Aguero out of the game. From what I saw on TV I didn't think Gabriel's tackle on Silva was anything but a bit clumsy, hardly malicious and similarly Koscielny on Aguero. What do you lot think? Was Arsenal brutally physical yesterday? I couldn't see it to be honest. And Arsenal, physical? Really, since when?
I mean fair play to Arsenal, I've never seen them so up for a game and they out fought City.

I didn't want to post yesterday, I was far too angry at Craig Pawson and his team. Arsenal systematically kicked us off the pitch for 45 minutes. We lost Silva, Fernandinho and Aguero to injury because of this. We had a higher yellow card count than Arsenal which beggars belief.
Aguero scored, and it was ruled out. The ball clearly stayed in play and if he isn't certain, he cannot call that out. This is the same linesman that walked into De Bruyne as he was taking a corner. Seriously? This is what we get for an FA Cup Semi Final? It's a shambles.
Both sides should have had a penalty too. Aguero had his heel clipped and Navas dragged down Alexis. The officials were centre stage as per usual for this country. I'm tired of it.

It's quite an achievement to get kicked off the pitch by Arsenal of all teams. City have more than enough nasty players to fight back.
Like I said, we ended the game with more yellow cards than they did. How are we supposed to kick back if we're operating on different standards of punishment? We'd have finished with nine men.
Didn't see the whole game, so can't comment on the ref's performance. Kicked off the park by Arsenal just sounds incredibly soft.
That's how City fans (and Yaya) seem to feel, that refs robbed them.
Asking the important questions. But genuinely I sat there yesterday thinking the same thing? Is it new or have I only just picked up on this.
I know they do think that, but it sounds more to me like a post hoc rationalisation of the fact they were outfought (unusually by Arsenal) by a team who wanted it more.
The last 15 minutes of the second half, City looked dead on their feet and when they did get the ball seemed content to get to extra time and didn't really push on. Maybe some of their players are just too old.

Considering I live in Spain, no, I don't watch Sky Sports. They must spend too much money on the rights to games and be unable to afford a decent theme.
