PL fixtures & FA Cup Semifinals Apr 22-27

Conte has actually bottled it. This way a loss shouldn't impact the side since they can point to their two best players being missing.

Easy to understand as Hazard and Costa both have played almost every game for Chelsea this season with a lot of European football as well as Carling Cup games. Of course they are tired.
What European football have Chelsea been playing?

Looking forward to seeing Ake from the start today. Excellent prospect, has all the tools to become a top class centre half I think.

Smart from Conte, now Spurs can't set up to target Hazard or Costa.

It is not finished yet but this will be an epic victory for Hull and Silva, keeping in mind they are playing with 10 since 25 minutes.

Not sure why it's seen as though we're throwing it.
The way Costa is playing Batshuayi couldn't be much worse. Ake for Cahill had to be done too. The only one which suggests prioritising the league is dropping Hazard but seeing as most of the team is unchanged and Willian is coming on for him, I'd say we're not in it to make excuses.

We may well be beaten but that'll be because Spurs are very good and in form. If we had Hazard and Costa we may still be beaten. Don't think there are guarantees either way!

Marco Silva is one heck of a manager, favourite manager after Pochettino.

How good is Winston Reid for you lot? Top 6 worthy?

He's at his level I feel. A few years ago and last season were quite impressive but on neither occasion has he built on it. Solid but nothing special. There are loads of Winston Reid's across Europe tbh.

It's a strange line up for Spurs too. No Davies on the left side, so if we're playing with 3 at the back - Dier, Alderweireld and Vertonghen - then it's Son as our wingback

Now is the not the time to be messing about with new stuff.

Trouble at Port Vale. Bolton fans spilled on the pitch, they are promoted at the moment. Port Vale fans didn't like it and skirmishes ensued, so players have been taken off the pitch.

Leeds losing.:lol::lol:

Dropping the two highest profile players at the club is the opposite of bottling it.
He has though. He's left himself an out...oh it's the league we really want.
It's an FA cup semi final involving the two best sides in England with the narrative all week being the huge pressure Chelsea would be under if they lost.
Conte has attempted to sidestep all of that.

Excuses, excuses! Last week the sole reason of them losing was the cold they all got according to @duffer. This week will be Hazard and Costa missing. What's next? Any guesses?

I did expect you to play 3 at the back but I doubt you are, judging by the line up. Seems Pochettino has chosen a bit more defensive solidity by going with Vertonghen at LB over Davies.
