Wayne Rooney has been put on a calorie-controlled diet after being told to ditch the junk food. The 19-year-old star, who admits his favourite meal is burger and chips, was given a dressing down by concerned Manchester United bosses. Rooney normally weighs in at over 12 stone, but has been told by his club to up his exercise regime after putting on excess pounds.

i never understood the silly stone system. when i went to school in england i was always the idiot who didnt know what a stone was, and would weigh himself in pounds.

I don't really see were the goals are going to come from here, surely it would be better to play Ronaldo and Giggs half each unless were going to keep it tight for the first half and then bring them both on... Hopefully Sir Alex has got it right. Saha should not be allowed on international duty ever again...

So SAF thinks Giggs and CR might be fit enough for a 2nd half appearance (20 mins?) if necessary I guess - just not up to a full-on hour or so... Here's hoping... we don't need to use them.
 
I don't feel optimistic, no width at all. Think we're gonna see our last hopes of the title end against City. I really could shoot Duff now.
 
It might suit us to let them come at us and hopefully open up the game. Remember at old trafford, we had about 90% possesion and they just played 11 men behind the ball?

This might encourage them to come out of their shells a bit.
 
Containing them will be the key. If we defend well (and we are almost complete in the defensive department) there's always a chance of snating a vital goal - late on if needed, with the help of our two benched wingers.
 
Agreed, we must make sure we don't make stupid defensive mistakes like we have done the last 2 away games against them.
 
Both sides look like going with a 4.5.1 formation.It's not going to be pretty.
 
I think we'll do fine. City always do best when the pre-match build up talkes about them having no chance. This time there's loads of articles about the human pie-dump Dunne, the midget and clamity James all being classy players. Utd. to win 2-0.
