Player of the year.

I'm not sure. I reckon he has a picture of Gary Neville on his bedroom wall, and probably shapes his moustache to match gazza's.

He's also expressed his wish to be the one who pops Fletchers cherry, which is slightly disturbing

Fletcher's cherry  . Didn't he and his partner(sutty?) just had twin boys? Heard in mentioned on the commentary during the Watford game.

Hehe. Someone calling for Crouch in there on RAWK.

You are what Bluechip is for Chelsea.
Unbiased opinion..
No wonder mods gave you permission to post in United forum..

That and the sexual favours he does for them. Hes noodles favourite

Is it mandatory that a Liverpool player is in the list of nominees...Gerrard has done feck all while Lampard already has 21 goals this season. Like him or not, thats one hell of a record for a midfielder.

Agreed. It's craziness that Gerrard is in their ahead of Lampard.
Fabregas has a case though, with his monumental tally of 1 league goal.

Fabregas' nomination has to be due to the London media... and Gerrard is obviously the posterboy for English football, so of course he's included despite a subpar season.

Ronaldo should take home both awards.

Unfortunately Steven Gerrard seems to be getting to Beckham-esque status now, no matter how he performs he's always praised and up for awards. Certainly doesn't deserve to be nominated on this seasons form, nowhere near the standards of Ronaldo, Scholes and Drogba who have been the main performers.

Gerrard hasn't even been the best player at Liverpool, I'd certainly make a case for Finnan, Agger and possibly Carragher to be ahead of him.

Ronaldo should probably win both, but I doubt people will vote for him in both categories so I reckon he'll claim player of the season with Fabregas as young player of the season.

I agree with you there but I also disagree that Cesk being nominated, he hasn't got many assists to his name and he only scored once, how the hell can he be one of the nominees, I haven't seen him play that well to even get a nominee, but thats my opinion.

Woah. He did score once in the league!

If Ronaldo wins the main award then he has to win the young player aswell.
If he is the best player in the country how can anyone else be a better young player?

Lennon for the youth.
:wenger:

Lennon is the most overrated player on the face of the planet.

He has scored all of 3 league goals. If Richardson played as many minutes, he would contribute more.

Park who has hardly played has 5 goals. Even Fletcher, Flamini and OShea have managed 3 goals each.

It's ridiculous that Lennon is on the list ahead of someone like Agbonlahor - 9 league goals and has scored at OT, Anfield and the Bridge this season.

Surprised they haven't included Henry in the list.

Where is Carragher?

hehe gotta love the tagline under toml, how the mods must of regretted putting that in

fabregas has been poor and too inconsistent, why the feck is he in the list I don't know.

They'll give Player of the Year to Drogba...Young Player of the Year to Ronaldo.

I agree with you there but I also disagree that Cesk being nominated, he hasn't got many assists to his name and he only scored once, how the hell can he be one of the nominees, I haven't seen him play that well to even get a nominee, but thats my opinion.

Giggs does not deserve to be in there!!! Some of you sticking up for him its just because he is a legend. Vidic, Evra, Rio, Carrick all ahead for me. Carrick and Essien have been better than Gerrard and Giggs.
He's got 2 player of the month awards this season, same as Ronaldo

I don't ever hear Andy Gray, so I'll take your word for it.

I meant he took both of the awards at the same time at the back end of the70s. It might have changed since then though.

PFA PLAYERS' PLAYER OF THE YEAR NOMINEES
Didier Drogba (Chelsea)
Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal)
Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
Ryan Giggs (Manchester United)
Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)
Paul Scholes (Manchester United)

Take Fabregas + Gerrard out, put Essien and Gilberto in IMO.

Fabregas is having a decent season but I'd have him up for young player of the year. Been a bit inconsistent since the start of the year, that said the votes for these awards takes place around then as well. People calling him poor don't have a clue about football, he has been a bit hit and miss but definitely not poor. For someone so young to play CM and do it so well is a remarkable achievement in itself.

Fabregas' nomination has to be due to the London media...

What on earth are you on about? The name of this award is Players player of the year award. It is voted by the players, nothing to do with the London media.
