Says the manager that buys his way to success by spending billions.![]()
Klopp is not averse to being obnoxious and hypocritical, but I usually feel he's principled and got most of his heart in the right place.Yeah, same. I just think his initial response is encouraging. Much more encouraging than we’ve heard from any other manager so far. For which he deserves credit IMO.
Ole shat his pans when was asked about it.

Yet when I think about it again, who am I kidding?
The guy is on German TV screens something like five times every commercial break, whoring his goofy smile out to anyone from insurances companies, car manufacturers, banks and credit card companies, candy, beer, and god knows what.
I tend to forget this, because I haven't been watching TV in a decade, and so I get the wrong impression of someone who doesn't do anything for the extra Euro.
To be fair that was very shortly after the news was dropped.
So glad Marcus has shared his disdain for it, expect to here more and more in the coming week from players taking a stand against it.
I'm just imagining Woodward and his cabal of suited c*nts seeing this and seething, and it's making me incredibly happy.

The thing is, I'm not even sure his bosses should be annoyed. City is a sportswashing project, money doesn't matter to them. The public seem to completely reject the Super League. Am I wrong to think that it would be the easiest way to gain some points and credibility with football fans all over, if they back out of it? Down the line playing in the Super League might give them great publicity among the best teams, but here and now the project would likely fall apart the moment one of the founders backs out, especially if it's the upcoming English champions.Well done Pep. He will have annoyed a lot of his bosses by coming out and saying it's not sport any more. We need more of this please from the big managers and players. Nice from Rashford too.

What did Rashford sayRashford and Bruno have spoken out now. Hopefully more players follow suit.
Thought it might be worth having a separate thread for the reactions of various players and managers (past and present) to the super league news. We will be getting a lot of these reactions over the coming days and they'll get buried in the other threads.
A few already:
What did Rashford say
Did you see his President speaking, how in the hell was Zidane going to say anything else but that. Madrid's clearly a dictatorshipI think we’re going to have to agree to disagree here. The only difference between Klopp and Zidane is that Klopp admitted he doesn’t like it before saying “but I’ll keep doing the job I’m paid to do”. Is that really better? It’s a defeatist attitude if you ask me. Acknowledging that it’s not good but confirming that he’s not going to do anything about it. It’s made magnitudes worse by the fact a couple of hours later he attacks those that are fighting tooth and nail for the fans.
What did Rashford say
Will any players from "the 12" have the balls to say "I won't play in a closed shop league"?
Posted a quote saying "Football is nothing without fans".
Managers will be briefed by their POs, so not many managers will say something extraordinary. I would love it though, but I just can't see it
What the feck are all of you twats attacking everyone for? You're fecking attacking everyone who is in favour of this and you're even attacking the bastard managers and footballers that speak out on it.
Just calm the feck down. The whole world, apart from yourself, doesn't have an ulterior agenda and just because someone spent money doesn't mean they're evil. They didn't kick anyone out and played by the rules.
Youre fecking talking as if you want the whole bastard thing to be free for everyone with players on minimum wage. Calm the feck down.
There was a meeting between the players and executives yesterday, yes.I read somewhere that Maguire stood up against Woodward and confronted him because players didn't know anything about this
Any confirmation? If so, well done Harry. I really hope the players and managers will prevent this from actually happening if no one else can't
They don't need bums on seats. There will be plenty abroad who will pay for this, Real have fans all over the globe and not sure their fans are as offended as we are. They will just make plenty out of TV revenue. The players will not stop this. Most of them is as greedy as the clubs.
Only the fans can hurt the clubs by staying away (also from the TV matches) and saving their money. Completely ignoring these 12-15 teams.
But that is not going to happen. The fans will crumble as in the past and keep watching.
