Who would be your current choice for next manager after Jose Mourinho?

I'd take the risk with Sarri, it would be a rollercoaster ride, that is for sure.

Poch would be first choice followed by Simeone or Sarri.

I hope Jose stays. That being said if he were to leave I would be interested to see if Jardim might leave Monaco. Big fan of his and who knows what he could do with more financial backing and not having to sell his stars?

Please no for Simeone. Not sure why people would want him when he's basically just like Mourinho just less proven? Wouldn't the main thing we'd want after moving on from Mourinho would be to get a manager who can play exciting football and get a team that can dominate? That's not Simeone at all.

I reckon it'll be Carlo (if Jose departs).

There's nobody worthy tbh, back in the day when managers like Pep and Klopp were approachable but can't see anyone in that standard. Anyone we go for will probably be a downgrade from Mourinho.

Maybe Zidane if he gets sacked post PSG match. I'd trust him to make good use out of Pogba.

What about Jardim? People here want an attacking brand of football and a (relatively speaking) young manager with plenty of coaching experience; he can't be far off the top of the wishlist.

He has to be at the top imo. He ticks every box of a Man United manager.

 silva miles ahead. Poll either needs a reset or needs to be stickied as a permanent reminder against snap decisions and why the fans don't always know best

My hope is that the answer is at least two years away and maybe by then pochettino or jardim will have confirmed pedigree and won't have a rebuilding job on their hands

Remember when Chelsea F.C took a punt on a young Mourinho? yes he did well in the Portuguese league but still could've easily flopped. Nothing is guaranteed in football. But that's what makes it so exciting.. IF you take the risk out of football and clubs making hastily boardroom decisions/axing/appointments and football is dead as we know it.. and boring.

Why can't we take a punt on a young-up-and-coming manager to find Manchester United's Jose Mourinho? a young, flash, foreigner, up-and-coming manager who has the potential to do what Mourinho did.

Jardim seems worth it.

The feck i had to change my vote from Poch to Simeone, weird part, dont think i ever voted for Poch. But yea went for Simeone, not because i like him, or his style but because i believe its more natural next step to JM, making jumps from one end to another makes no sense like from LvG to JM.

You forget that same young Jose was already winning 2 trebles in a row in Porto, winning EL an UCL with Porto. No ones has the same feat as Jose done with lesser team today. Take a punt with young talent manager for United is a big gamble. With drama surrounding all over the club, make it even riskier.

I remember voting for others, not it says I voted for Simeone.

This is like FIFA voting

@Damien

I hope we go for a young progressive manager this time around. The best choice is Pochettino, imo. After that Tuchel & Jardim are interesting choices.

The list of ones I do not want:

(1) Simeone - Can't stand his football. That kind of defensive football is fine for Atletico, won't work here.
(2) Ancelloti - He is typical cup manager.
(3) Nagelsman - Too early for such a step up.
(4) Giggs - Are you kidding me!

Even though I am not a Mourinho fan, but seeing that list makes me hope he doesn't leave anytime soon. I would only have Guardiola over him. Otherwise Jardim and Poch are the only decent ones. I liked LVG by the way. LVG with better players (which he was incapable of identifying) would have done good here.

Sheesh. Looking at that list makes me a bit more appreciative of Mourinho in all honesty.

Simeone is the only person there who I think has the balls to impose his personality on the club, but as successful as Atletico have been, their football outside of the big high pressure games is hard to enjoy. Worse than Mourinho's style for sure.

Allegri is maybe the safest bet, but hardly inspiring.

Chelsea had finished second in the Premier League the season before Mourinho arrived, so he obviously inherited a talented squad, and then he was allowed to spend like a Drunken Sailor.......

Young Jardim took an even younger Monaco side to their first L1 title in over 17 years against a side who could literally spend what they want. He also got them into the semi-finals of the CL - beating Dortmund and City in the earlier rounds. They didn’t even qualify through league spot either - they came into the competition in the qualifying rounds.

Silva wtf? Had he just won a couple on the trot at the time of this thread or something?

No point adding the likes of Pep. He won’t come here and we wouldn’t sign him.

I chose Poch.

Something got mixed as Poch was the one who was miles ahead with the votes. If I had to choose really don't know, maybe Jardim, really like Nagelsmann but it's too soon.

He won Ligue 1 indeed, but still he hasnt won anything in Europe. Undermining Jose's achievement in Europe to elevate Jardim's? Klopp even got to final CL beating Madrid, thats even a bigger achievement than Jardim. He won Bundesliga twice in front of Bayern who can pick any player from other teams in Germany with ease, better eh?

My point is, looking at achievement we will never got anyone better than Jose right now. If we want someone else, make sure he's way of football align with the vision this club has going forward(if there's one tbh)

Picked Poch because he has more experience in the and Silva is somehwat unproven in my opinion. Although, I wonder how Giggs would do with a massive transfer budget given he knows the league inside out.

Strange poll results. Marco Silva seems to me like a David Moyes remake:lol:.

It doesn’t require too much imagination

Why do so many want Silva?? In any case the baseline has to be someone who can get the team playing enjoyable footie, I'm so tired of the dull nonsense.

Surprised to see Silva as the runaway winner.

Calm your tits people, something got mixed up with the poll. All the votes changed, and the Poch votes changed to Silva (mine included).

Nice bump...
