We are due an away goals victory in Europe, especially against a German side.

Which is why Moyes went with Vidic & Ferdinand. Really can't see past Bayern at home. They didn't play very well at OT and can't see them repeating that in front of their home fans ... 3-1.

I have the same bad feeling as well. It could turn as ugly in Munich as that 3-0 loss in Milan, especially since Bayern probably received a good dose of criticism at home and got fired up by now.

Unfortunately Bayern will win easily.

but a lot of us said this for the first leg, even ones that are not normally pessimistic.
It will be a close game, we wont get hammered.

2-2 draw. United through on away goals (for a change) we've gone out on away goals a few times and I don't remember us ever going through on away goals. To summarise, name on the trophy . get in!

Their away goal won't count for much as it won't end 0-0 anyway. We'd have to score there to go through anyway too, 1-0 or 1-1. With 1-0 I'd be pretty confident though as 3-1 would be a difficult task for Bayern - 2-1 not so much.

I reckon they will go through comfortably unless we put the same sort of a performance we did this week. It'll be mighty difficult.

Bayern are best under pressure. They weren't challenged much in their fast few games and the way they dominated at OT without the killer instinct was maybe an indicator, but the result may be a wakeup call at the right time. The game will see a very different Bayern than this week, or the Arsenal home games. It will be a tight affair though because with Thiago and Schweinsteiger the two key figures are out. Also, United shows the typical signs of a quality team with issues: Failure to deliver on a consistent basis, but still can be there in that one decisive game.

We have to score first. If Bayern score first then it's over. Unfortunately I think Bayern will win this one pretty comfortably in the end. 3-1, 2-0 or 3-0 after we chase down a 2-0 deficit. I really hope I'm wrong.

A Basel-esque scenario (when Bayern played them). I've watched Bayern quite a lot this season, and that was probably the worst they've played, save maybe the City performance at the Allianz. They seem to suffer from complacency. They'll know what they have to do in the return leg and they'll do it.

Remember, we have to score. That'll force us out a bit more than the first leg and Bayern will pick us off when we do emerge from the confines of our box.
