I've a feeling we'd have another lacklustre performance and another 3 points.

Hope Cristiano scores again. :D

Phil i heard did his ankle in the warm up against leicester.
Rio is still banned.
Fortune is still injured
Kleberson is still injured (when did he injury himself ? how? whats his injury?)
SAF said Howard would get another chance leading up to millwall.
Ruud and keane have been reported to be making their return.
Forlan imo we wont be seeing again this season.
Ronaldo surely will be played over Fletcher, its not like he will colapse on the field if he plays two games in a row

Like the line-up but I think it will be Fletcher again as RW. :( Djemba2 or Bellion might not be there. Forlan definitely out.

I am still puzzled as to how Fortune, Phil and Klebs end up getting injured either in warm-up or training. :wenger:

I don't think Ronaldo will start, Fergie want to protect him from burn-out.

I don't see how he's going to burn out by playing in a few non-pressure games (for us).

exactly what i dont understand.

I hope Teddy has a quiet game.

We have to recall keane, Scholes and Giggs, as well as Ruud
After the last two games the performances haven't been great so Utd need to put on a strong match here.
I'd also drop Carroll and I think Sir Alex is thinking of resting Ronaldo

If everyone is fit I'd go for a 4-4-2 like Arvani but I'd stick Ole on the right to begin with and give Fletcher some time later depending on how everyone does (Scholes, Keane, Ole).

Very tricky away match, they are a very good side at home.

Phil injured in warm up against leicester.
Fortune injured , out for the season
Ronaldo being rested so he doesnt burn out
Kleberson ? is he injured ? is he here in manchester i have no idea whats going on, now reports claim he will be gone next season
Forlan has pissed SAF off, he wont play again this season imo.
If Ruud still out then ole.
If Saha is given a rest and ruud is available then again ole, but if both Ruud and Saha are out then Bellion and ole upfront with Butt making the bench.
SAF claims Howard will get another chance before the FA Cup final and since Carroll was alittle shaky at the start of leicester i presume this will be a good excuse to allow howard back into the team.

Any comments ? i think ive covered everything there. have i said something wrong or missed something ?

I reckon Pompey are gonna get rolled over. I predicting a long awaited 4 or 5-0.
If we play the team above there is no way we can be defeated. As we have rested and preserved players making them fully fit.
Mark my words 4-0

If we score an early goal, we will roll over them, but it could be a tense affair. Ronaldo on the bench to come on in the second half to open things up. If Ruud is fit then its him and Saha up front.

Right then, Ruud and Keano are out for this one.

EDIT: I should probably throw Ole in there somewhere, can't be arsed...

Fletch should be rested and Ron brought off the bench if we're in trouble.

You can't just play kids week in week out. United games are always pressure games - and we need that 2nd place spot, badly.

If you play them all the time you greatly increase the risk of fecking up their careers, simple as that.

We don't want Ron to be like Michael Owen in 5 years, do we?

What the feck am I doing up at 3.20? Even my dog is confused - she's stretching expecting me to take her walkies.

Sir Alex Ferguson has told MUTV that he's relieved that Teddy Sheringham looks set for a place on the Portsmouth bench tomorrow. The Boss also revealed that Ruud Van Nistelrooy would not be travelling to Fratton Park and there are other injury worries ahead of the game.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp also has a few injury worries. He'll be giving late fitness tests to Linvoy Primus, he has a hamstring problem, Andy Faye is struggling with a calf strain while Petri Pasanen is nursing an ankle injury.

Former United defender John Curtis, former Arsenal reserve Richard Hughes and Frenchman Sebastian Schemmel are on standby in case any of the trio are ruled out. Mark Sullivan will have the full story in the Red Hot News.

Fergie on Sky Sports said "Djemba, Butt and Scholes in midfield, 3 upfront", Which could see us do what we did pre-season? 4-2-1-3? or 4-2-1-2-1?

4-2-3-1, like the Arse game, when defending scholes can drop back, get forward when needed. This means the wingers can stay forward, forcing their fullbacks stay back and cover them, so narrowing the attack for pompey, they'll play right into our 3 in midifield. We can then couter down the flanks with pace and movement.
