I think after the Roma game United will be flat. Don't be surprised if we drop points though at least Scholes should be reasonably fresh.

I'm sure Chelsea being just 3 points behind by kick off will kick us into focusing.
Giggs didn't have a good game IMO in Rome so a rest might be what he needs. In the past Park has come in on these occasions and done well - let's hope he would be ok to do so again.
Saha needs to start, both for this game and to get sharper for Tues.
I can see the wisdom in protecting Carrick from injury in preparation for Tues as well but would he maintain better form/rhythm by playing?
Scholes could redeem himself with a match-winning performance perhaps.
Going to be a toughie I'm afraid - hoping for a 2-1 win.

Pompey have a good team. James in goal. Lauren, Campbell, Primus, Stefanovic, maybe Taylor defenders. And also good/ok strikers like Kanu, Banjani, Lua-Lua, Todorov.
Pompey midfield... Mendes injured. They have Gary O'Neil, Richard Hughes, Nico Kranjcar, Sean Davis for example. Kranjcar is a good player.
What do you think of their midfield? not the strongest, right?
tbh their defence looks strong and much experience as well.

Fergie said that the same eleven that started in Rome will start at Pompey and Evra is also available. We should try to kill the game off ASAP and give rest to some of the lads. Chelski will beat spurs as tottenham will have had only 36 hours rest between the Sevilla game and this one against the renties, so it's a must win for us.
ronaldo scores against pompey usually and he's due a goal, rooney also would be expected to follow up his form with at least another goal and a clean sheet would be very nice. Scholes must put in a very good performance for his stupidity in Rome and I'm sure he would
