Post-match discussion

I feel defeated.. this team is really destroying me. any form of optimisms has been run dry.

I wont be happy till ole is gone.. I don't care if we smash teams 5-0 because we all should know that a performance like today is coming soon. We've been waiting for this turning point where everything falls into place since ole was given the job. its not coming. we may have some good performances here and there but overall this club and team will disappoint under Ole. I'm ole out 100% even if we win the chl ill be ole out.

A mediocre Arsenal at home and we come up with a shameful performance. Gutted.

I only watched the second half but I thought Pogba was shambolic. Honestly, if you'd never heard of the guy and watched him play for us this season, you'd seriously be shocked to find out that he is highly-rated. The occasional nice footwork but who cares? Pereira did that from time to time too. And unless Bruno was hurt, how the hell is he the one subbed for DVB? It should have been Pogba, or even McTominay, but not the one guy who has proven time and again to be capable of turning in a match in an instant.

It's getting really wearying watching this team continuously tease us with good performances only to then crash back to earth the following week. And I'm afraid that's on the manager.

This. It's painful. No bravery and vision from the back and picots.

I saw so many good channel and line runs and the bravery should be there to pass through. Nope, slow in thought.
It’s so annoying because these defences that we struggle against can absolutely be gotten at and often do by better teams.

Pogba was an accident waiting to happen as the game went on. You could see he was getting more frustrated at how shit he was (his usual self) and his brainless tackle wasn’t even a surprise. He is a child. A waste of space and a shit stain on the club.

Was that six league games in row at Old Trafford without a win?

No options out wide (again). If only someone had suggested buying a top class winger during the window.

Awful first half. Solskjaer needs to take blame for it because of listning to all those who wanted to see other tactics.
Second half much better. Didn't think we should have lost.

Pogba... where do I start. Oh my.

Greenwood, Fred, Maguire, Ferdnandes must do lot more.

Referee, media and VAR. How is it possible to miss legbreaking tackle on Matic? How? You got VAR. Is it media that is fault because of all this United gets penalty kicks? But they don't see penalties given against us? I wonder how Gabriel managed to not get red while the refereewas giving them like christmas cards all over plays.

Only even slightest remote positive, is not now having to spend 4 or so hours driving back from Old Trafford in the wet, cold and dark.

The amount of respect Pogba gets brings me to total misery. Before the penalty he was more than useless but I though Ole would have some balls and bring him off for the dutchman. Arsenals twat goal celebration just added some fuel to the fire. He has contributed very little in his time here, he has been flerting with other big clubs and has totally disrespected United in the process. The penalty was just icing on the turd cake he has served us United fans yet again. We played badly as a whole but it could have easly been 1 0 to us today. Some fans will still defend Pogba and I can't really understand why anymore.

Leipzig gave us a lot of room in behind. Remember our second goal? They pressed up so far that Rashford was still in our half and was behind them. It just again confirms that we are good in space.

Teams in the Premier League are starting to wise up to us: don't give us space or foul our players in the box and we struggle and struggle badly. We created nothing today or against Chelsea because they did not allow us any space.

We just have to hope that the Champion's League sides don't wise up to this, as well. Otherwise, the results will be reflected there as well.

Pogba is a busted flush for me.
Mason is not a wide player. He is too isolated there.
McT and Fred were struggling with the system.
The ref allowed GBH on our forwards.
Arsenal should have been down to 9.
If Ole can't see how Pogba hurts us, someone needs to get in his ear.
Our defenders, with the ball, look like scared kittens in calipers.

Pissed off with these charlatans.
Ole in, but he was a 2 today.

Another disappointing performance in PL. Very poor play from Pogba, not because of penalty giveaway. He tends to overwork the ball and lose the momentum. Wrong sub to take off Fernandes before Pogba. I wonder when United lose patience with Pogba. I can’t really remember the last time he had an excellent game. His attitude is wrong.

I didn't have too much of an issue with the starting lineup or shape. However, I do have an issue with our mental preparation before and during the game. We essentially turned up expecting up win just because we're Manchester United. Mentally, I thought we were awful. Looked defeated, slow and unready right from the start. Never once looked like winning this game. We need to be not only winning these types of games, but winning them well.

A really bad performance. Every time we win a game, we follow it up with a poor performance. Haven't got any rhythm going, this season. I was optimistic after the end of last season, but so far (Champions League performances aside), this has been a poor season.

No options out wide (again). If only someone had suggested buying a top class winger during the window.

Oh but we don't need to as Greenwood can play 60 games a season out of position there.
Or the 15 nobody young wingers we panic bought 10mins before the deadline will do the job.

I just don't understand this team. How can we produce that performance, after what we had midweek!

Come on. Needs to improve in the league. Can't be getting 7 points from 6 games. Unacceptable.

How the heck have you put that tumescent display down to Maguire!?

Pogba giving a stupid ball away. Plus we still haven't found a way to get the best out of him.
Mad tactic of 4 centre mids when our full backs offer the least attacking width in the league.
No Martial meaning no-one can even vaguely hold it up front.
Fred and McTom have no creativity.

Watch the match back.

If we are going to play out the back, Maguire has alot of possession. Takes 50 years to decide he can't play between lines.

People are going to be mad at the performance, and rightly so. No idea why we are Jekyll & Hyde on a weekly basis. The build up from the back was horrible from start to finish. I felt that Matic and van de Beek injected some speed into the passing late on but we were woeful and didn't deserve to beat Arsenal. It's not all on Pogba when the entire team didn't perform.

I also feel that Martial being suspended for this game was a much bigger loss than many fans think - he provides a focal point to hold the ball up and may have given Arsenal's persistent fouling oafs more trouble than Rashford did with his back to goal. Bad start to the league but I'm still backing us to turn it around in time.

Without the CL performances to prop up our start to the season I think Ole would be in serious trouble. As things stand though I don't think he's under any real pressure, we always seem to get a few results just when you think things are starting to look beyond repair and the CL has definitely been that reprieve so far.

I honestly never know what to expect from this team, although I will admit I tend to presume the worst going into most matches, but the absolute swing in levels from mid-week to this game is pretty disgraceful but not unexpected, unfortunately.

Such a frustrating and inconsistent group of United players to follow. That game had 0-0 written all over it and probably would have finished 0-0 but for yet another stupid penalty given away.

Need to win the game in hand now to move within 3 points of 4th and let's be honest 4th at best is as high United will finish this season in.

How VDB is being used is really odd. I've got so many questions about this team, from the players to all the staff.

It's like he was bought as cover in case Pogba was sold. But he doesn't play the position Pogba does anyway.

So it seems like we've made an extremely expensive backup for Bruno signging.

The starting line up and tactics were wrong for the second league game in a row.

Ole should have realised at half-time and switched it up. Wish I could defend him, but I can't.

Very poor performance, another 3 points blown at home. It wasn't good enough all around but Pogba really compounded our misery today. The diamond didn't work in the first half but I felt the change we made at the start of the 2nd was very helpful and we started to get a foot hold but it wasn't enough.

We have to get going at home, our approach to these games are obviously wrong, I get it that there are no crowds but 1 point out of 12 at home is unforgivable.

Exactly this. Without those 2 superb displays he could only be teetering on the sack tightrope.
He's been there before though and pulled off a run of good results.

Wouldnt score if we were playing until midnight. Absolute garbage.

Yep - did anyone think we were going to score at the end? I certainly didn't.
Just punting aimless balls to Maguire who'd inevitably be adjudged as fouling someone.

First defeat at Old Trafford to Arsenal in the last 15 years. Well done Ole. Like Moyes did, he's breaking some records now. The wrong records. Even Moyes didn't lose to this lot ffs.

Far better team than Arsenal my ass. Not creating anything on your turf, only looking to counter attack like minnows and can't deal with their press. Yeah, we have the far better players but they have the far better manager.
We are an embarrassment from every level of this club, Harry Maguire shouldn't play at all - Axel should come in from him now. Paul Pogba should be benched until he is sold. Clueless, No Passion. And with the news of Nobby and Charlton where was the performance for them. Thanks for ruining my afternoon and week again Ole and United.

Another awful league performance.

The diamond doesn't work. The change in formation after HT worked to an extent by we kept Pogba on the left wing for the entire second half and that has to go down as awful brainless management on Ole's part.

How Pogba stayed on the pitch for 90 minutes... taking Bruno off when we're chasing the game... waiting so long to introduce Cavani while we were resorting to Maguire lumping the ball up the pitch and Greenwood looking totally gassed...

Playing Pogba is going to be a major factor in costing Ole his job.

Pogba should have been off at 55 minutes.

As soon as we looked better with the formation change we should have looked to get a player more comfortable out wide on to capitalise on it

It's like Ole sees that it's worked and think well that's sorted.

1/10 performance today. Arsenal was maybe a 3/10 performance, what a fecking trash team they are, holy moly. And they still beat us, makes we want to vomit.

Ole: Don't talk about us being very fit before the game if you can't live up to your words. Terrible team selection and terrible in game management.

AWB: Quiet. Did nothing noteworthy.

Lindelöf: Played well.

Maguire: Don't even bother bringing him up on corners anymore. If he attempts another long shot I'm going to fecking lose it and say something I'm gonna regret.

Shaw: Did well.

Mctominay: Terrible. Better second half, but he talks like he is a motivated general or something but plays it safe and looks like he's scared to hold the ball. Never plays a one touch pass, always take two extra touches before deciding what to do, estethically he looks like an amateur when he plays.

Fred: One of our better players but not up to standard if we want to win games, playing okay isn't going to cut it. If I recall correctly he was on a yellow so it was reasonable to take him off.

Pogba: Thanks to you, we lost this game. Lost the ball, gave away the most stupid penalty I've ever seen, just overall shite.

Bruno: Did nothing noteworthy. Tried to press but was exhausted.

Rashford: Cried like a baby like 4 times and added nothing. We needed him today and he didn't step up.

Greenwood: Misplaced every pass he made in the first half and added nothing in attack. Second half he was brighter. Can't really judge him yet since he is so young.

Arsenal are a terrible, terrible team, who won't win anything major. They had a few injuries aswelll. And imagine, we lost to them. What a fecking laughing stock we are. Currently I'm furious and feel terrible, can't believe I looked forward to this dross all week. Ruined my day, you can't count on these players, they'll always end up disappointing you.
