Dimi making me laugh:lol:

On this forum it is getting to the point that even if we won the CL and EPL double, fans would go into meltdown and demand that players be sold and the manager be sacked.
I'm struggling to understand if these so called fans actually understand that we are steam rolling past teams and only MCFC are doing better than us.
Jose and our players are doing a fantastic job and they have my full backing. Right now, I haven't a bad word to say about them.

This.
Can't stand the current negative trend in thinking.
Not even sure how to justify it, I'm trying to think of something, but really there is no reason for it.

Anyway, that's fans for you.

Lets be honest here. We were terrible. Most of the players cannot play a simple pass. I commented on the match day thread I do not know what Bailly usually thinks and then soon after he makes that horrible back pass. Smalling was better than him today but I really do not understand why he has to head the ball every time it is in the air, when no one else is close to him at all? He has all the time in the world and without anyone close to him yet he will head it instead of controlling or pulling it down and then we lose possession.
Mikhi started playing better when Herrera came on and he could join the attack a lot more. If Lukaku had left that ball Martial who was not offside would probably have scored. The sooner Pogba and Fellaini comes back the better it will be.
I hope that we can beat Chelsea at the Bridge but Kante is back for Saturday.

Positives: solid result, De Gea still out of this world, flashes of good play which if kept consistent through a game will make us unplayable.
Negatives: The forward line is not clicking just yet, Mikhi honestly terrible, silly defensive errors could cost us and our play in last few games leaves something to be desired.

I was impressed by Lukaku in the second half in particular

he ran into the channels more and linked up well enough in spite of a few poor touches

needs to be aggressive and get in between the Chelsea centre backs at the weekend

A good win. There were moments when it was just a bit shit but a good result and another clean sheet. Martial excellent, as was De Gea, as was McTominay and Matic and I thought Lukaku had a good game, I was willing him to score but thems the breaks, he’ll notch soon, hopefully against the chavs on Sunday.

On a side note, love how Berba still a big United fan. He didn't necessarily strike me as one of those players who would love the club so much after leaving.

Did enough to get the win. Would have been a more interesting match had they scored.

I think you have to be realistic about how much energy players should put into this game given it comes between Spurs and Chelsea.

Job done but lack of creativity in midfield, mata playing terribly and two fullbacks who are really poor going forward didn't look promising before the game started in terms of excitement and proved to be the case.

In champ league against solid team we won 2.0 with mixed team. We are in knockout stage without much effort. Great. I am happy.
But match thread today was really awful. Worst "our" performance in a long time. Everything was shit, players were shit, jose is shit, players don't care, we should not buy lukaku, etc....
This

Ugly game, job done. On top of that:

De Gea: What a man.

Bailly: Reminded me of a drunken uncle trying to play football after attending a barbecue.

Mike: Some good moments and some "wtf" moments.

Blind: Ok.

Darmian: His facial hair scared the benfica players I reckon

Mata: The invisible man.

Lingardinho: Bad day at the office?

Matic: Played on third gear and that's good enough.

McTominay: Attaboy

Martial: Possessed by the spirit of Nani, was all flicks and nothing feckin else. I love him, still.

Lukaku: prayed for Buddha in search for patience.

Mkhitaryan: He can´t win a tackle against feckin Stephen Hawking

Rashford: Love you!

Herrera: Hello, bye.

Excellent post.

Fans have been slaughtering him too. Social media has been all over him. Then there was the sub being booed last week followed by the 'shush' gesture.

He's not entering forums to read the fans comments, though, unlike Media which is every where.

Also read my post above.

Journos of course. No need to make a mountain out of it.

The journos yes, and the pundits, after the interview, bt sports, and Paul were able to say that the decision of Jose to make blind the penalty taker meant that we were a bit disorganized because we should've decided before the game who should have took the penalty in case Martial wasn't on the pitch.

Usually the worse are our ex players because they try so much to be unbiased.

They always find a way to criticize the club.

With that said, the press and pundits are paid for that, Jose knows that, I don't think it's wise to act like he is, even if I think that he's fully justified in what he thinks about the press and the pundits.

Did a quick calculation and worked out that we can seal qualification with a 4-1 defeat in Basel (beating them on away goals)

Fair enough but i already thought he was a bit annoyed at our supporters. Maybe he just has a problem with everyone right now.

I don't think he's very pleased with the fans since Spurs game either but this comment is clearly a hit for the media.

Anyway, I think he should choose his words much better from now on since media will create nothing stories from anything he tries to say at the moment.

No, let’s be honest, we weren’t ‘terrible’, let’s actually stop acting like drama queens for one bloody moment. We won 2-0 without having to get out of 2nd gear. The result was never in doubt. Let’s get some perspective.

Says a lot that we're coasting through the group stage but people are still critical. Good times.

Regardless of where one stands on the issue of style and how we play, it is hard to believe that this is a man who doesn't care about his perception. We just got two big wins in the space of 4 days and he looks as annoyed as can be.

Is it not goaldifference though? Also a big defeat against CSKA can feck us anyway.
