Brilliant result. A very hard game and credit definitely should be given to Bournemouth. They defended very well and kept going.

Our quality shined through in the end.

Question mark's over Fred, he seems like a poor mans Herrera and Herrera is hardly a world beater, although was brilliant when he came on and unlucky not to score from a couple of close shots.

Sanchez started well, good assist. A shame he still doesn't look like the player of the past and I'm not sure if he will be. I just get the sense he has lost a yard or two which is just taking the edge off of him.

Good composure from Rashford for the goal although very lucky as he misjudged the header and could have easily lost that chance.

We had enough chances as a whole to get the win so I think it was deserved, but we certainly rode our luck in first half where we were by far the lesser side. Their goal did look offside though so on balance again we had the difference where it counts.

Our defence needs sorting out. Top class centreback is a must.

Papered over the cracks again, they played us off the park for 35 minutes, we were better in the second half but it's just the individual quality some of our players have that is digging us out, we look such a poorly coached attacking united even in comparison to a minnow like Bournemouth, who could have snatched a second in themselves in the 2nd half with a couple of big chances bringing good saves out of MOTM De Gea.

First half was a sackable offense, different team second half helped by Bournmouth shitting their pants and no Lukaku to disturb our play. Glad no KDB against City next week.

Fred's chance, Rashford's chance, Shaw's 1v1, Young's bar/crossbar, I know B'mouth had their chances but we do fecking make it hard for ourselves. Would've been ridiculous if we hadn't won it in the end.

Shaw's miss was the worst. He had so much time and picked the worst option - straight at the keeper.
He’s scored once his career and you can probably count the number of one-on-ones he has had on one hand. Not that arsed if he’s shite at them. More worried about his crossing being from the Valencia school of hit and hope.

Still really average but deserved the win.
Why must we play so bad for the first half and be loosing before the players realise the game has started?

We still can't put two solid halves of football together but we dug out the fully deserved win. Must improve our finishing, however.

Pogba was immense. But Jose really needs rethink Matic's regular starting role. Worries about Fred are not unfounded.

Need a world class cb and cdm asap. If we can do that in Jan then top four is on... Board need to back mou... But ofcourse no thirty year old

Defensively we are still miles away from being a top competitive team, and surely in Jan two defenders are a must, though given our recent track record not sure they will improve us.

Decent going forward, Lukaku should only be a sub consideration at best. But much more difficult games to come and we will truly understand how far behind this team is!

Thought Fred was our best and most energetic player today. Would have kept him on and taken Matic off who looks like he is playing in a swamp. Herrera replacing him would have been enough imo. Sanchez playing well centrally stretching the line and assisting for the goal.

Rashford missing easy chances and made a meal of the goal he got in the end and Lingard should have scored but guess he was rusty. Looked like it could have been one of those days.

edit: forgot to mention we need a warrior/leader in CB position, I know we were exposed allot because Matic is out of sorts but still could have coped better with better decision makers taking the ball on.

I'm just going to start tuning in at the start of our 2nd halves.

Thought Matic was a great signing and he looked good when he first came but then it’s been a steady decline. As much as I like him I agree with you. Maybe Pogba, Fred and Herrera. But no way Mou will sit Matic.
Yes, I liked him at first but since last Christmas or so he has been more or less bad. Too slow and makes too many bad passes.

Getting a bit predictable now. First half bad, second half good. We know teams like Bournemouth are going to come out and play at 100mph for the first 20 minutes or so, but we don't seem equipped to combat this. Whether it's the coaching or the players, I don't know but once we settle down and organize, we usually get control back. We badly need a leader at the back to keep the defence in shape.

Not many have said it but Ake was at fault for Hashford's goal. Totally misjudged his header.

Ake made so many little errors throughout the game. He would be torn to pieces if he was playing for Man Utd.

I am not his biggest fan and I think he often resembles a headless chicken rather than a proper footballer, but credit where credit is due because I thought Herrara was fantastic when he came on. My man of the match. He totally changed the game. I still think it should have been Matic coming off though and not Fred. Matic was great last year, but he has been horrible this year. How he is a guaranteed starter almost every game is a real head scratcher for me

The day we manage to start games well  fecking crazy we always concede first

Hey, this offside thing. (I agree with what you said, btw)

But what about the long diagonal cross to the far post. The guy who heads it back is onside as he drifts on to the ball from behind the FB. But the guy who scores in the middle after it's knocked back, started offside when the cross came in.

I *reckon* those get disallowed, more often than not. It's not any different really. More obvious / easier to spot maybe.

(It just drives me mad) - But at least all that's pretty consistently applied.

Another entertaining game, me like it.

Mourinho keeping his favourites at the expense of other player's development and making us watch that dogshiit football for over 2 years should be the reason alone for getting the sack.

I can't get my head round it, we just can't play well for a full 90 minutes.

None of that matters to me as long as we get the 3 points though.

Good win, and deserved. Best attacking I’ve seen all season tbh that second half from an incisiveness and quality standpoint, just couldn’t put anything away. Our entire left side was brilliant (Pogba, Shaw, Tony) and I thought Sanchez actually looked alright up top. Would like to continue with him there. Matic, Smalling, and Young left a lot to be desired for me. Also thought it was harsh on Fred to be removed so early, he was the only decent player our first 30 min.

Yeah I thought Fred should have stayed on and Matic off.

Always lovely to snatch it late, my days this thing of needing to score 2 to get anything from games needs to end though. If we could keep clean sheets things would be much easier.

Matic has been an almost constant disappointment since returning, needs dropping for Ander.

Second half much better and deserved win. That first half was a joke though. Wish these mugs would just put a bit of consistency together.

I don't understand why we are normally really poor in the first half, or why we only seem to play decent football after going a goal down.

Chuffed with the result in the end though. We were great 2nd half.

Herrera showing again why he is a very valuable squad member.

Major improvement on Sanchez in terms of team performance and individual contribution. Making progress.

Scholes saying we need to stop coming out with a defensive mindset. When is Mourinho going to realise that. Just attack! Give the other team something to worry about. At the moment, we let teams settle down and start playing with confidence. Have to stop that.

Fortunate to win, for me, Clive. I think a draw would have been fair.

Not sure how we were still in it at HT.

Good & needed result though, certainly.

We can’t go on missing clear one on ones. 3 we missed today: Shaw, Rashford, and Lindgard.

Yep. We should've won that more comfortably.
I do feel that we are making silly/simple individual errors in defence and attack.
