Seven wins from seven for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but this one wasn't as comfortable as perhaps it should have been. Despite being well in control at 2:0 at half-time, and dominating much the second-half, we had to hang on in the end to win 2:1. Groß's goal after 72 minutes gave Brighton hope and they had the better of the closing moments of the match, really pushing for an equaliser. We held on though and claim another crucial three points in the chase for fourth.

Man Utd 1:0 Brighton - Pogba (27' pen)

Man Utd 2:0 Brighton - Rashford (42')

Man Utd 2:1 Brighton - Groß (72')

Game of tiny margins.

If Lingard scores an open goal, it's 3-0 and comfortable.

Onto the next one.

Great first half but we need better subs when the players tire in the second. Becoming a common theme now.

Cagey performance but we deserve the three points

Another win, cant fault it, some signs in the last couple of games though that we are switching off big time during the second half, no idea why, maybe fitness? Either way, it needs to be addressed

Felt like a second half performance under Mourinho

These fecks are in for a hairdryer in the dressing room

Dominant and excellent before their goal. Then it got nervy as feck but we held on so all good. Couldve been like 4 or 5 goals but we didnt take our chances so thats always a risk.

Some players need to get their arses in gear.
Lingard, Matic, and especially Young not good enough.

Didn’t watch the game but sounds like we ran out of steam a bit. Need to take more chances when we are so dominant as well by the sounds of things.

An easy game we made it unnecessary difficult in second half by being too comfortable.

Job done though and hopefully Rash is ok.

Enjoyable game, nervy end by what seemed like a little naievity from younger players. Lukaku really struggled to hold up the ball but great keep the wins going.

Shame about Liverpool.

Didn't create a lot. The players seem knackered, which doesn't bode well with Arsenal next.

3 points. Arse Chelsea next .Needed the points .

Didn't finish it off and stopped playing after they scored.

Hope we figure out how to respond when we concede in conditions like these

Happy with the 3 points but not a good performance - we need to make changes for the next game.

Vital 3 points. Brighton are no pushovers, glad we're grinding results too. A few players need to take a look at themselves though, this is no time to be dropping our guard.

If lingard scores it's 3-0 and game over, instead Dalot switches his brain off for 1 second and it's 2-1.
Average performance, but the result is great.

We made that hard for ourselves. The complacency in the second half was disgraceful. We were so much on top we thought we could cruise through until the end of the game. So much sloppiness and casual play from players who, in the first half, looked to have their heads screwed on. Very disappointing. Had Brighton equalised we could not have complained. Found Ole's subs very odd as well. That's the worse we've been on the pitch and in the dugout since Solksjaer became manager.

Some great play in fits and starts, good first half, poor second half.

We really need to get Smalling back in for Jones and try and integrate Sanchez in on the right, we lack any threat on the right beyond Young’s overlaps.

A win's a win, but the way we suddenly dropped off after a period of domination was alarming.

Felt that the in game management should have been a bit better. We started dropping in tempo and should have freshened things up with Lukaku and Sanchez for Lingard and Rashford who was pretty tired. We also desperately need a cm option on the bench.

Not exactly an ideal 2nd half (though to be fair credit has to be given to Brighton who gave it their all) but a great goal from Rashford and another 3 points.

Wont always be pretty, especially when playing with a sub standard back 4

Great first half but we need better subs when the players tire in the second. Becoming a common theme now.

It's not helpful bringing on players who can't (Mata) or won't (Lukaku) run as hard as the tired players they're replacing.

First 60 minutes were as good as we've played under OGS. Last 30 we looked very tired.

Rashford looks to be developing into a top-class player. Pogba, Martial and Lindelof were good too.

Doesn't look great for Lukaku at United.

Hugely relieved to get the three points. Now I hope Chelsea loses this evening.
