This game keeps getting forgotten but we scored 5 against the team I can't spell his name in Europe League last LVG season, the Rashford debut.
Ah yes. Midtjylland. We won 5-1 if I remember correctly. Thanks cheers mate :)

Seriously though. Tired of this shite one sided football. Seriously need to consider playing with 9 men or less. Give the opposition a better chance.
They should have a new rule in football that whenever you score a goal, you have to give up a player. Would be funner.

Mata going off changed the dynamic of the team.

Entertaining game though, Martial and Rashford were class. Lingard very good.

Lindelof was very bad again, too bad we conceded.

Yeah, for the sake of entertainment I would've liked to keep Mata on the pitch, but he needs to rest.
On top of Lindelof, who wasn't convincing, Shaw didn't do much to prove he's worth to be given another chance anytime soon.
Overall pretty good game/training session. Burton were way below our level. On top, not that I'm familiar with their squad, but commentators mentioned they're lining up with a few of their regular subs.

Shite football. Scoring only 4 goals all the time. It's like Mourinho gives up after scoring 4 goals and only tries to defend after that. When will our club come out of this ditch. Total defensive mentality. Parking the bus after 4 goals. We need to buy more creativity in the attacking third. And probably bring in Klopp. I'm sick of watching our team score only 4 goals. At least we conceded one today, so that was refreshing. But that's the only highpoint from today. Long way to go.

I don't want to be at a failing club. Liverpool is more desirable any way. Even Coutinho chose it over Barca.

Yea, a lot of people tell me I remind them of SAF. But that would be an insult for me. I consider myself better.

Mourinho is such a giver up.

Absolute bottler!

Rash. Ford. Very good.
Lin. Gard. Very, very, ah, good.
Martial... Incredible!

If Shaw don't show, soon; shall we show him the door?
Linde. Loff needs to improve. Quickly.
With apologies to @kirk buttercup and congratulations on the rash of cool new names in here tonight. Very Alice in Underland.

We beat a team who will struggle to stay in the championship and they made changes themselves and weren't at full strength, yet they created 4 very good chances.

Against a better team our defence will be exposed.
Christ. I thought your original post was joking.

Like we haven't ever lost against these teams and winning against them is just a formality, right? Remember MK Dons? These matches are usually tough for a number of reasons I could delve in.

Tony Martial came from France....

Great performance from the lad and good to hear him coming to terms with the lingo. Shit from the goalie though. What a way to concede our first goal at OT. Absolutely sickening.

That would have been a 0-0 under LvG. Jose is building something special at United. We just can't stop scoring this season.

Really ? Because we played with a full bench defense except Blind.

Should've been 7-8. But a comfortable win will do. It's all about getting it done.

Swansea away should see us in the last 8.

I'm assuming those saying 'not good enough' and 'shambolic defending' are joking? :wenger:

That goal really annoyed me at the end. The initial blame has to be Shaw. He casually jogged out and allowed the Burton Albion player to deliver a cross. I know its 90th minute are you’re winning 4-0 but you’re a LB its your job to stop the opposition pitting crosses into the box.

In all honesty, a little bit of me was happy we conceded for schadenfreude's sake. The belend behind us who threw a shoe on the pitch had 4-0 and it cost him 150 quid. Ouch.

It's been a RAWKish evening for the match day thread.

Drama queens in full flow, absolutely stinking performances for a few posters who just complained throughout the match.

I missed the second half. Was Lindelof really that bad? I saw him make an error in the first half but I think that's the only thing of note.

Yes, but. Yes, but. The shoal of moaning minnows had their moments, ok. They were quite good in their own way. But then in a flash they were gone, and in their place a great looming shadow emerged from the deep. @MZX7 in the water.

I know it was only little old Burton Albion, but Martial showed the quality tonight which has made people use the phrase 'world-class' when talking about him. His skill and control are exceptional. Wish he could teach Rashford a thing or too about controlling the ball whilst running into the box.

Absolute howler from Joel Pereira at the end.

I think we cant begrudge them the goal. They came to make a game of it, instead of parking the bus. (Their dearest player £500,000 and is injured! According to Sky.) This gave us the room to counter and really we could have had 6/7 instead of 'just' the 4.
As a team I would give 7/10, as individuals highest Martial & Rashford 8.5. Lindelof is still a work in progress, and Shaw needs to step up the pace now. Out of players that are playing regularly, Darmian was the poorest.

Rashford still has pretty good control and touch, but Martial's is in the world-class spectrum. I don't think anyone except maybe Mata has close control anywhere near his level on this team. Pogba is really good and has flash, but what Martial can do is absolutely unreal.
