United through to the 5th Round to play Preston North End.

Most definitely the greatest game we've played against 4th tier team this season. Bar none!

T'was fine win, never doubt it.

Good For confidence. Can't make much about the performance given the opositiion.
Good to see McNair and Wilson doing well though.

Standard day at the office against lower league opposition. Earlier goal opened up the game.

McNair MOTM.

Good stuff in a routine 3-0 defeat of lower league opposition.

McNair, Di Maria, Rojo were highlight performances but in truth it was relatively easy and nobody played badly. Wilson did very well when he came on but his energy against tired legs allowed that, took his goal smartly too.

How it should have been in the first game in truth but a tidy match for us nonetheless.

Looks as if our players are getting more comfortable and confidence.

Happy with that. Roll on West Ham. Will be tough.

Job done. Controlled the game as you'd expect. Mcnair was fantastic, great to see him as confidant as he was.

Good enough. Most important thing was getting the win.

Job done, fairly unlucky not to get a few more on the board but gotta feel slightly pleased for Cambridge on that front, they've deserved not to get a thrashing, if you know what I mean.
Preston it is.

We can play good football but in the premier league the opposition reduce our time and space, as we get better we will start creating lots of chances, hopefully that can happen in the coming games.

The key is keeping our new signings fit, players like Angel di Maria, Blind, Rojo, Herrera, these guys perform even when pressed.

I'm not sure what the return of Young means though, 3 at the back?

Free flowing attacking was fun to watch. Still some brain farts on defense, but a clean sheet. Mata had one of his better games. Rojo MOTM for me. Nice goal and was solid in defense.

Nice and comfortable. Good subs to rest important players for West Ham in a few days too, would have been nice to see Falcao get a few goals though.

The passing looked so much more improved today, yeah it was only Cambridge but United just seemed a lot more aware of the space around them. Constantly exploited space left by Cambridge and just kept it up until the end instead of sitting back to kill the game off.

Easy win. Mcnair was fantastic at right back and Wilson showed again that he should be in contention for a starting spot.

Think that was what LvG has been trying to do all season … only worked because it was lower league oppo. Try that against WH on Saturday we'll be crucified! Was nice to watch some attacking football though I must admit … on balance, I'm happy!

Comfortable win, but there was some good football played in that second half. We could be more forceful at times to go for more goals, we seem to be too "nice" to the opposition and just see out games a lot instead of scoring 4, 5 or 6 goals. Everyone played well for the most part. Rooney, Fellaini and Van Persie just average though, Fellaini didn't do all too much in the game apart from bring down the long balls and Rooney and Van Persie should have scored a goal with the chances they had. Complete control over the whole game bar the Blind brainfart in the first minute.

Comfortable win with some good football. This was how we'd dispatch mid-table Premiership teams at home under Ferguson.

Some people really hate Young

He just came back from an injury, did nothing wrong, and looked threatening, yet he's the lowest rated player.

Amazing how one goal opened up the match. Cambridge finally gave in and couldn't stop United from playing passes in the final 3rd. Would have been nervy had Elliot taken his chance.

Good win, played some nice football and could have scored more.

Happy for Rojo and Wilson getting their goals and really pleased with Paddy at RB.

MOTM for me was Paddy.

Decent tempo for once. Interesting to see us pressing higher up the pitch. Plus we seemed more keen to take early shots rather than walk it in. Hope we take it into the weekend.

Most probably because he didn't really have the time too make as much of an impact as the others.

Happy with that. Got the job done, looked good. Were able to take the foot off the gas a bit and still play decent stuff so it was ideal really. McNair was very impressive, as was Rojo I thought. Shame Rooney and Van Persie couldn't get on the scoresheet, they had enough chances.
