No, we didnt. Palace moved the ball quickly and confidently when they had the chances to break. We played a pass, then let the opponent get back in shape while we played another 5 passes with 0% risk and no intention of hurting them

No i remember us getting into their final third a lot of times. Albeit via hoofball but we definitely tried to attack quickly. Whether it turned out well is another topic.

First step is to sack a manager who fails time after time after time and his football is shit.
Watching my beloved team now is such hurting me inside really. Do not know what is right or wrong right now? Today we had a chance to close the gap between one of Chelsea or Spurs. But i already gave up on top four already. But the question is, is there anyone at the club cares for Manchester United? Is there anyone who wants and hope and work hard for us to get back quickly?
Are there any football men in the club who can take big decisions? We lack the football organization post SAF and we are run by feckers who not care about who we are.

Matic and Lukaku continue to survive the 90 minutes when their performances don't even begin to warrant it and the same, predictable subs are made to salvage the situation. Nothing to see here.

Rarely did we hoof the ball quickly. That normally comes after 5-10 passes along our backline and when it arrives at Young, Pogba, Matic and Mata.

We're a team who tends to counter attack by beating 1 player, then taking that as the win, slowing down and passing the ball sideways so everyone can get into position. Then we finally play a longer pass towards a front player

The sooner we accept that we're no more than a mid-table team and come to terms with that fact then it will make this dour football and results against the likes of Palace more palatable. We're in for a long couple of seasons.
On the back of the 3 seemingly interminable ones that preceded Jose's arrival!! Time for a stiff drink and a change of underwear ( sorry to be so graphic but I live in Stockport, the epicentre of the "Citeh massive", and I fear next week is also going to seem an awful lot longer when the "mid-table" barracking kicks in .......... yet again! ).

I keep saying it. They kiss the manager's arse. That's why he has a blind spot for them.
Next manager better not be so bloody insecure. It's infuriating!

An excellent battling performance, with a clean sheet to boot. Fantastic result against the 2016 FA Cup finalists.

If you don't laugh at this team, you'll cry

We do well with the underdog mentality. Expect feck all in our home games where the hosts are expected to take the initiatives.

Many years ago, the club brought Alex Ferguson to the club to copy Liverpool. Someone forgot to say stop! We are irrelevant, dull, predictable and falling further and further behind. Any thoughts to the contrary are wrong/demented/an unfunny joke. Can't beat Palace, end game

Can't have a go at the players. All on Mourinho today. The coaching of this team is diabolical. He just has to go.

Tell me why on earth can’t you have a go at the players ?

Do you think he tells Pogba to give the ball away
Or lukaku to fail to control the ball and show no desire
Or Martial to go back into his moody couldn’t give a stuff frame of mind
Or Sanchez to show such obvious apathy

Jose will and must carry the can but the complete lack of effort and desire from these overpaid prima donnas is just unforgivable .
They are a disgrace , the worst bunch of players we have had since we were relegated

I don't think we should make decisions based on what points or goals city have. So bizarre that the greatest ever premiership side that have spend 1-2bn on their club in the last 10 years has to be a part of every sentence about mourinho

How about Liverpool? Is it OK to look at their stats or are they beyond comparison too?

Because at current rates Liverpool will finish 35 points above us with a goal difference 64 better than us.

Yes Mourinho should walk but we have a board who's acumen is goes no further than financial therefore Mourinho won't be going anywhere until top four is out of reach, the club is a business that happens to play football, the dynasties of Ferguson and Busby are a distant memory and the wider picture is genuine recovery won't begin to happen until the Glazers sell up!

Little sums up our performance more than Lindelöf being our best player in stoppage time whilst on one leg. Matic utterly clueless in realising he needed to cover him.

Decent, cohesive performance. Defensively solid, and plenty of penetration going forward. Definite signs of progress and quality coaching. Yep, Palace were good. Probably should’ve won the game.
lol!

Missed the game. What's the summary? Lack of creativity and speed on transition? Great defending be palace? Or we actually gained a point? Did we start playing after half time?

Yes, yes, yes. Finally some positivity in this sea of negativity.

Did you see Jose talking to the 4th official about some foul that was rightly given against us? That's the kind of fighting spirit we want to see from our manager. Another half a billion pounds and he'll definitely make us a solid top 6 team. Only if those stingy Glazers could loosen the pursue strings we could it make it to next years Europa.

Our transformation into the glorified Stoke is complete. This is actually worse than Moyes imo .he didn't spend 400 million pounds but got the same end result

Three years on and you start Darmian, Young, Smalling, Matic, Lingard, Mata and Lukaku telling them to kick and hope. But yeah, we'd have hit them for six if Woody had gotten Alderweireld.

Genuine somewhat rhetorical question: Does Mourinho actually really know/understand what the fans are feeling/saying about the team's performances week in, week out?

I just really want to know.

Lvg was better than this.

We hired from one extreme to another in terms of playing style hoping both could adapt to clubs philosophy, both screwed up because of their arrogance.

Not sure what the plan was. Players in the same areas of the field on top of each other. Searching balls trying to switch sides. No build up, no effort. Sloppy and lost the squad is.

We've got a massively overrated squad that simply isn't good enough. Changing the manager won't change a thing.
Totally agree we need a minimum 6 top class signings , if we don’t sort this soon we will be finished as serious European contenders .City have been way ahead of for 3 years now and we have also allowed Liverpool to get clear of usboth are going from strength to strength.
We are no longer dseroous premiership challengers an are now in real danger of falling out of the top 4 on s regular basis .

By all means change the manager but the squad also needs a good clear out

Pogba Sanchez Lukaku are an embarrassment they should be ashamed of themselves and I wish people would stop going on about how good Martial is , he doesn’t give a toss about the club, he,s like a spoilt moody child get rid of him

He has to go unfortunately.

I really wanted it to work with Jose but it isn’t.

It hurts my eyes watching us play.

At least under LVG we saw evidence of coaching a certain style. It didn't work but at least we saw what he was doing.

I literally have no idea what Mourinho is trying to accomplish in terms of style. There's just no progress in our play, unless this garbage is the style Mourinho has been planning for all these years.

But that's not hard is it? Scores a few when no one is even threatening to then goes back to his level.
No it certainly isn't, but I'd still have him in the team just in case he does score, it's more than the rest of those headless chickens in our attack are doing.

That's got to be the understatement of the century.
