Just so bad this season, I’m struggling to remember a time I have been this frustrated watching United. Jose has to go though, I honestly do not see how anybody could do any worse.

It’s scary to see how obvious we are in attack, it’s slow and lethargic. We know it, the pundits know it, the opposition won’t be scared. We are 1 inch away from a possible goal and victory and good spirits, but it’s not enough. We keep a clean sheet but we really shouldn’t have, it was just down to luck and we barely deserved a draw to be honest.

The biggest mistake was keeping Lukaku and removing Pogba. We all know Pogba has that pass needed when we have pressure outside the box, but Mourinho kept Lukaku do posisbly give him some confidence by scoring the winning goal. Big, big mistake, hopeless decision. Not surprisingly, we had the ball but lacked those killer passes and vision. We should have started Sanchez and brought Lukaku from the bench.

You don’t remove your best player when drawing Palace 0-0 at home. Pogba wasn’t great today and he isn’t finding many shots these days, but he is always ten times likely to come up with a good pass and control the game.

This is the bit that gets me the most, and what makes these results seem even worse. There’s absolutely no sign of what we’re truing to achieve as a team. Every team around us has a clear direction and you can see what they are being coached to try and be. It’s been over two years and I am yet to see any clear signs of what Mourinho’s United is meant to look like or do.

This is why enough is enough. If i could see signs of a playing style or a transfer policy which was cohesive and built for the future i'd give him time and the benefit of the doubt but this currently is just a mess. I don't see anything which gives me confidence going forward 2 or 3 years. Mourinho's basically a shock jock, instant gratification. This won't get better while he's here.

What exactly did Mourinho do wrong today? Did he miss his those chances? Did he not perform? For the last 30 mins we had a front line of Martial, Fellaini, Lukaku, and Rashford, with Sanchez playing behind them. That is attacking as it is possible to get and still they couldn't score. Jose put all the attackers on and it is they who didn't score. So what is Mourinho being blamed for today, seeing as he played with our most attack focussed players? What more could he have done tactically?

Lukaku did not perform, Lingard did not perform, Pogba did not perform, Lingard did not perform, Rashford did not perform. At what point do they get any blame?

Everyone was shocked Darmian started but he did alright, and was tactically the right choice.

Can anybody fill me in on the game? I would also like somebody to explain to me whether or not Toby Alderweireld or Harry Maguire would have won today’s game for us? As they are, after all, the reason we’ve started the season so horrifically.

Was the football as woeful as always? In line with the past (fast approaching) two years? That would be delightful to hear. Or are we happy that we had a few shots on target?

United currently sits at -1, but it's goal differential. Not sure it's quite the same as in golf.

We have a board who are quite happy to write off a season in November rather than be proactive and change it.

I can't see any reason they would - if this were his 1st or maybe 2nd season he'd have every right to mould the team with transfers but he's signed almost an entire XI and so far has shown a terrible eye for recruitment so far. He should be moved on, we won't make top 4 this season and we'll miss out on CL football next season so need to start preparing for that now, shift the deadwood players, shift the monsterously overpaid players and rebuild with a clear vision of what we want. Transfers for next season and next manager need to start way in advance.

I'm guessing the board are (1) thinking he might turn things round (he won't) and/or (2) waiting until Top.4 is mathematically impossible a la Moyes to save cash.

The first point is stupid.... City and Liverpool are nailed on top.4 and Spurs, Chelsea then Arsenal all competing. We'll be lucky to get top.6.

The second point is arguably more stupid. Saving X £ms is nothing compared to the advantage of getting a new manager in early .... gets to know the club/players, has time to decide who to keep/sell for the next season and start implementing whatever changes he wants to make. Hit the ground running.

We're writng off another season and by delaying making big decisions, we're making next season(s) harder too. And all the time, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are improving.

The decisions made over the next two months (to Jan) and seven months (to season end) could be huge for United.

However bad Moyes, LVG and now Mourinho have been, Ferguson's early United teams were just as poor if not worse.

This is not meant as a case for retaining Mourinho. Ferguson was a long term manager, both for Aberdeen and for United. Mourinho is a classic short term manager, who favours experienced players and motivational strategies that exhaust players.

None of the players have evolved noticeably during Mourinhos time at the club. The poor performances is a combination of rigid tactical approach, and a lack of desire from the players. If we had a captain like Peter Schmeichel, Gary Neville, Cantona or Roy Keane, we wouldn't see such a deflated attitude on the pitch. There is a lack of leadership and responsibility. Mourinhos 2011/12 Real team scored 121 league goals. So don't tell me he finds this kind of football acceptable. When he has great players he usually delivers.

There are too many average players in the squad. But you do understand why the players look jaded. My god it's a boring kind of football.
