Palace good run in Old Trafford put to end however that was a fine margin win as Palace may have got another result in Old Trafford if ayew didn't miss that sitter on 75 minutes and it took a bit of Brazilian magic from Fred to win it.

For me it was exactly the kind of performance you want to see as a building block of where we want to go. Controlled the match from the beginning, created chances we should of finished early on but had a clear game plan. We pressed as a team very successfully. Everyone put a shift in. Especially in the first 30 minutes we saw already quite a lot of what is to come - much more intensity, forward passing, players trying to win the ball back immediately, not dither on the ball and make quicker decisions. Signs are promising, hope we can build on that and sustain this for longer periods in the future.

Happy with the win and the points, the performances will improve. We should not have expected magic after a single training.
