Awful performance. There hasn't ever been a team that had a worse implementation of posession football than us. It is completely useless.

Rooney shocking as usual. Lingard was pointless. Rojo was bad, and Jones just a bit better. Depay continued exactly when he left before getting dropped. Trying to dribble every time he has the ball, and failing to do so each time.

We should be able to win the next two matches which should be enough to quality, but I think that we would need to win at Wolfsburg to win the group. And it will be very difficult.

Crap first half, decent second. Football is slow and unimaginative.

Mostly poor performances except for DDG, Herrera, Schneiderlin and Valencia.

Rojo stuck out for me as a negative. He's just not a good footballer and I doubt he'll be here in a year from now. Lucky not to concede a penalty.

Another shit game by Rooney. Martial was awful as well but for one good header.

Reminds of that ad where there are a team of clones who play with no risks, and initially destroy the human footballers, and then the real players come back to win it with flair.

We play like the clones. Except that we don't even win it the first time.

Looks like we were happy with a point, which is a bit rubbish. Got a free kick 40 yards out in the last minute, we don't put it in the box. We pass it sideways and lose possession. 1 minute to go and we're launching down the wing, we don't put it in the box, we stop and pass it back to the half way line.

CSKA were knackered in the 2nd half after 45 minutes of truly incredible organisation, counter attacking and retreating into position. They were very good, but we wore them down. You'd think that's when we'd apply the pressure. It was there for the taking. Putting the ball in the box caused them problems, but we barely tried it.

CSKA were there for the taking today. Absolutely nothing going forward, and ceded us so much good possession.

On the face of it, it's a good point, but if we get battered on Sunday it wouldn't have been worth it. F*ck these late October fixtures.

Result we would of took before the game.

We should of killed that in the second half though. Zero urgency.

We get the ball in added time, huge chance to attack - we end up passing it back to DDG.

Meanwhile, City have just scored a last minute winner. Sums up the mentality of both of the sides perfectly.

I fear for Sunday.

If Rooney starts, we've lost.

I didn't think we played that bad today. It does annoy me how when we start to get our tails up we maintain a low tempo. Need to kick it up a notch !

Still in a group where home form is key a away point is a very good result. Win our last two home games and we're through

Performance was shit. Result is decent.

Probably got the worst match in the group out the way. 2 home games and 1 away left. Win them all we win the group. Win the home games and we will at least have qualified.

Hopefully the 8 hour round trip doesn't have too much of an effect for the derby on sunday.

Thought were were good. They scored a lucky goal and we were in total control. Would be nice to go for it a bit more but that was almost as good a performance away in the Champions League that you can hope for.

Ah good point, second half was much better and i knew we will score. We should win at the end and have a chances to do so but a point away in Moscow is not a bad result.

Result was fine.

Awfully dull game and performance. Very average. Think we're very dependent on Mata to provide cutting edge in attack.

Our inability to break down teams who go ahead is a real problem. I am confident in us when we are drawing or winning, but we are really bad when teams try to defend a lead.

You certainly have an apt user name.

Extremely disappointed how we didn't go for the win. They were there for the taking but we were too scared to go for it. I didn't really believe it when LVG said he would be happy with a point. But I guess he was actually being honest.

We should always go for the win. I know your play will be different when you are desperate to score to tie vs after tying but we should have taken the momentum of the goal and kept at it. Instead we became careful to avoid the counter attack.

We should always go for the win.

We were pretty dire in the 1st half though but getting something out of that game away from home was good

Absolutely dreadful first half, much better second half. The first 45 were simply unacceptable for Manchester United, and Wayne Rooney is hurting us by shifting Martial onto the wings while offering nothing up front himself. It's truly sad. That was a very satisfying point after the first 45, but my goodness Van Gaal needs to drop Rooney.

Not bad point but terrible game, I am tired of this boring football from LVG

Think a point was the goal for this game, a bit disappointing we didn't go for it more to get the winner as that would put us in pole position to finish top of the group. Decent enough result in the end though. Martial with a great header to save us.

Herrera and Schneiderlin by far our best players in that game though. We looked a bit nervous throughout the game apart from Herrera on the ball really. Rooney didn't do anything of note, Lingard was pretty good, valencia did well I thought.. Meh apart from that. Martial's worst game for us (as they did double/triple team him every time he got on the ball and dove in early on him), but he still showed his class on the ball and scored the all important go, so there you go.

A point in Russia. Control your female hormones. Good position in the group.

And you boost the production of your male ones. A nothing football might be good enough for others but shouldn't be for us.

PS: Are there any more of you people out there who are easy to satisfy? Is this how low we have set the standards? Shame

Something is wrong with me, I thought we were quite pleasing on the eye. Came in here to say I was happy with performance and result. Maybe I just got caught up in being distracted from a busy schedule by watching united play, the dullness might have been calming.

Satisfied but passing back in the last minute when you're not winning is not on.

I almost agree, first half we didn't created enough but yeah we kept possesion very well and we were in total control. In second half we had 3-4 really good chances and we should win it.

Priority nr1. was clearly to play it safe. Draw was always the result LVG was after.
Luckily, CSKA wasn't as great on counter attack as Arsenal was. It would have been a different story then.

Ok, not the worse result but surely none of us can really be happy with what we saw.

Rooney. Thanks for everything but seriously, if it ain't coming together - take a feckin breather!

Their next two games are both away, in Eindhoven and Moscow so if we win our next two games a draw in Wolfsburg is likely to be enough for top spot.

A lot of ifs, I know, but the point is I don't think they'll win both aways.

Good point away from home, but we should have taken more risks going forward when they were on the back foot right after Martial scored.

I get the feeling Van Gaal would have taken the draw before the game started. Which is understandable, as away days in Eastern Europe are always a bit tricky.

Not really, they're two different situations. City are at home and know that Juventus are in a good position to win the group in they fail to take all three points. They still have to go away to Spain and Italy in the second half of the group phase. We're away at CSKA with the two home games to come and are still in good shape with a point.

Extremely boring. We're never going to be a remotely entertaining side under van Gaal. This type of football gets the job done more often than not, but it's impossible to enjoy.

Have to be honest, I was willing the game to end, it was a bore fest
