Can't believe somebody actually thought giving 500m to an incompetent man is a good idea.

I don't ever care about the results anymore. Ole needs to go. He is as useful as a G is Lasagna.

And half of caf is still defending him. Leicester will put him in his place. Will be funny if Arsenal win again and are only two behind us at the end of the day.

No, we played okay but okay isn’t enough against second string teams were 3 points are a must.

Like how Chelsea are blowing away Southampton..
Was just going to mention this. Teams love coming to OT. That really shouldn't be the case.

Didn’t anyone pick up on Luke Shaw diving in at the right back position for the goal? What was he even doing there just a rush of blood to the head.

I'm starting to see a pattern and I saw it with West Ham, YB, Villa and Everton. We play really well for a good spell of the 1st half and in each match it looks like it will be a comfortable win. Then we miss a few good chances. And then the opposition has 1 or 2 very good chances during the half and doubt sets in. With YB it was also the red card of course. The doubt lingers into the 2nd half and then we start playing worse and worse.

- Should DDG have come out for the goal? He was in no man's land for GKs, either rush out or stay closer to your line. Too easy of a goal.
- I'm not sure why Cavani came out so early. He didn't look tired and holding the extra sub would have given Ole more options.
- Martial almost looked good.
- I really liked the temp in the 1st half, even McT and Fred were playing quick. More of that please.

I still have naive hope that we can challenge for the PL title. The team is capable of going on a really good streak.
I've never been on the Ole out team -- but it looks like he just can't juggle the squad because he's too dang nice or something. Why can't the team stay the same for a few weeks so they get used to each other?
- No set plays that work.
- Second half, nothing down the right for some reason. And no defenders on the left (maybe that was the reason).
- Pogba in hero mode when he came on. He has the capability, but maybe he shouldn't have come on today since he wasn't scoring or assisting.
- Still don't understand what the defense is doing, how they could possibly be cut out that often.

We are still in a really good position. It’s far from over yet. Don’t panic.

This is the second time I've seen this in a few day. Is it a new caf joke? If not then I must point out that G is very important to the pronunciation of Lasagna.

The board he dealt with did everything in their power to give him the best they could. The best coaches, the best facilities at the time. This board have let things slide on all things involved with the club. There was more of a connection with the manager and board, SAF would have direct contact. Not having to go through a long line of go-betweens.
I do think we have the best board for a manager who is capable to handling everything by himself.

Do you remember Gill saying Fergie was a greedy old scott and he liked it better keeping the money in the bank after we sold Ronaldo and the no value in the market ?
That’s what Fergie had to deal and he delivered.
Every manager has been very well backed after him.

I don’t know about connections and all but Ole has spend a lot as as Mourinho and Van Gaal.

I don’t know what so difficult. I am sure Fergie choose his staff as well and didn’t leave it to Gill as well.

English people doesn’t know that « gn » is a sound in italian and french !
They are just saying lasana apparently, but English cooking is not famous after all…

Man Utd now facing a tough test of character. Next 7 matches: Leicester (A), Liverpool (H), Spurs (A), Man City (H), Watford (A), Chelsea (A), Arsenal (H).

Trouble is Ole is not capable of handling everything by himself. SAF ran the club from top to bottom. He had the best coaches he could get with new ideas and coaching strengths so he could safely delegate duties. Ole would never admit that maybe his coaching staff is a bit rubbish.

This was a pretty average Everton team. Don’t even think it came down to our team selection. We look so vulnerable on the counter

Hate singling Fred out but he could have bounced Gray out of bounds but instead got bumped off like a rag doll. Why can’t Ole see that Fred is not fecking good enough. Yes, he and McT save his job last year but this pairing is clearing not working this season. Play Matic, play DVB play fecking some other pairing and stop going back to your favourites Ole. You are losing the moderates who back you now.

So Ronaldo plays for 40 minutes.. why couldn't he play for 60 minutes, get the game won and then sub him off? He's burying that Cavani headed sitter in the first half that's the difference between the goats and a good striker. Ronaldo never got a decent chance like that created for him

I know people rate Greenwood but I think he's too selfish. And shouldn't be a guaranteed starter at 20 years old. He will a great player in the future but still has loads to learn. Don't burn the lad out like Michael Owen was by playing too much too soon

Sancho and Rashy next game

Ronaldo upfront

Stop messing about. Stop rotating to pencil people in.. play your best team to start gelling. Sub when the game is won or injuries

I guarantee a top manager isn't leaving Ronaldo on the bench for a must-win game like this. Think of the lift Everton got hearing that he was on the bench

Why does Ronaldo need to rest? He is hardly wasting loads of energy playing the widths of the six-yard box. Plus he's always occupy 2 or 3 defenders which creates space for other players

Football is about momentum especially after Wednesday night. And not rotating to disrupt that.

Cavani was great as the super sub role Wednesda .. yet this massive clamour fron the media and fans for him to start today obviously influenced Ole.. why mess with a good thing!? Keep Cavani in that role he's happy.. and he has a better impact as a super sub.

Ole definitely has to go. Yes we got to a certain level with him that was expected but he doesn't have any spark whatsoever.

McTominay shouldn't get another game also after that performance. He's abysmal.

Just scrap the mcfred thing!
Honestly thought Fred was worse.

You mean the bottler who won the FA cup?

No, I mean the bottler who despite spending - what? - 80+% of each of the last 2 seasons in the top 4 has thrown it away at the end. And the manager who looks even less equipped at handling Europe than our current one.

By your logic Arteta would be an improvement too.

Not good enough that performance. Ole's assembled an unbalanced squad he's not good enough to manage IMO. Our midfield is woeful - I wouldn't be upset if any of them left bar Bruno.

Look at his European record, and he's a perennial table bottler.

Every time he's looked like finishing somewhere meaningful, he's bottled it.
Look at Oles record in Europe, it’s rubbish. Rodgers finished last season with a trophy

I really thought the home form would improve when fans were back. Hopefully, things settle down and we go on a good run. I'm clinging on to the hope that we are still within touching distance of the top and as bad as some performances have been we're miles ahead of the start we had last year.

Have you seen our run of games? We are very unlikely to go on a good run. Even if we pick up some good wins we'll likely drop points in a number of games. This is why we wanted the perfect start with points against Southampton and Aston Villa and Everton too valuable to throw away when we have this October and November run.

Even just our home fixtures look bleak in terms of picking up wins.

Leicester (A)
Atalanta (H)
Liverpool (H)
Tottenham (A)
Atalanta (A)
Man City (H)
Watford (A)
Villareal (A)
Chelsea (A)
Arsenal (H)

You would normally say those home games are the sort that lifts the players, but we are not great against City at home and look what Liverpool did to us last season at home. Another problem he has is that there are now crowds away from home. We will have to hope this unbeaten away run is keeping us going.

So because our current one struggle in Europe, it's ok to go for one who also struggles just because he won a trophy last season that the majority here wouldn't accept that - winning it alone - wouldn't constitute as a successful season?

No thanks.

If we replace Ole, we have to bring in a proven winner of the biggest trophies.

That’s the problem, I agree, but every manager should be capable to bring his staff…

Could someone please kindly explain to me what Fred actually does and why does he ever even start on this team? Surely he's a liability at this point.
What makes you laugh he says about VDB he knows what he has to do, yet I dont think Fred knows what he has to do, McTom not much better either

If OGS keeps picking the midfield duo of Fred and Mctominay for home games, they will not be able to launch good attacking play. He should only use Mctominay as the defensive midfielder and play the rest of the attacking players. United is missing a Carrick. Matic is the nearest but age is catching up with him.

And suddenly, that's the only aspect of the game that matters? Just like the only thing that matters about Everton is that they're "depleted"?

Everton is a strong team, with or without injuries. As they've shown all season. In much the same way as they showed today. We won't be the only big team they'll create trouble for, and to talk as if it is in itself and self-evidently a travesty not to beat them at home is ridiculous.

If you watched the Villa game, and the Villarreal game, and then this, and think those looked anything like similar, then sorry, you're watching with either your eyes or your mind closed. We were miles better today than we were in those games. Still not enough end product, true, but that part of it too was improved.

At some point judging results and performances in isolation is trying to avoid the big picture. Big picture we simply have too many games where we struggle to make chances and then seem to concede far too easily.

Worryingly we aren't particularly good at anything. Not an attacking force with a weak defence. Not a defensive juggernaut that can grind out 1-0 wins. We concede too many set pieces and don't score from any ourselves. We aren't physical. It's just a very average team right now and that's incredibly painful to say when you look at the components we have.

Remember when Ole only needed a CB and home fans to win at home? What now?
It’s going to be CMs this season. Next season a proper striker as Ronaldo is old. God knows what after that. But it will be never ending with ole fans

A run of games against better opposition who will come out and play might be just what we need. I certainly am not in fear of that run of games. We have a tendency to up our game as well. These slow starts and brain farts in defence against teams we should be beating are the problem.

I’m more annoyed because it’s 2 points dropped and a chance we couldn’t afford to drop if we stand a chance of winning this league. The signings of Sancho, Varane and Ronaldo signal ‘title challenge’ these are not title challenging performances. We need to be taking big points before the November break and have a challenging run of fixtures. Time for the lads and the coaches to find their minerals !

McTominay slows the play down so much and he can’t see when players ahead of him make runs. His passing is also no better than Fred’s.If Ole can’t see the obvious he needs to go.

To be a total pedant, take out the g and it's not pronounced the same at all.
