Good interview. It's pretty bloody obvious that the players are really feeling it at the moment.
Because we are capable over going up several levels and should be able to deal with anyone left in the competition. The worry for me is injuries and fatigue.

- That Phil Jones sub was as dumb as anything LVG did. In fact, if that game had happened last season it would have been a typical LVG performance. Counter productive tactics, and substitutions designed to sabotage your own team's ability to have any control on the game. Bringing on Phil Jones at left wing back when you have Ashley Young and Luke Shaw in your squad should be an automatic sacking offence really. It's so stupid it's beyond accidental and into deliberate sabotage.

How often do we ever go several levels up? This is the team that can't seem to beat anyone at home without a struggle. Today was a good win in the circumstances but our performances have been on a downward spiral and I'm not sure we're the best team remaining at all.

Just in traffic on the way back from the game. It looked like Jose had a plan and it worked. The game was kept in control using the super high defensive line. The problem for us fans is that's all we offered. There was nothing else.
There was the odd glimpse from Mhki of the energy we should be seeing more of from everyone, but with no one else matching it it came to nothing.

Young or Rashford were prepared to come for Rojo. Then we scored and Jose decided to keep it as it is.
I will never deem a 2-1 win over 180minutes against a team like Rostov a good result. I obviously have higher expectations than others. I'm not expecting a 10-0 thrashing, i'm expecting a team like United however to demonstrate they're a class above such opposition. No way should anyone be happy with that performance or result, all it does is show how far we've fallen in 4 years. In both fan expectations but also results.

I take results over performance any day of the week. If we get Result + performance, thats bonus in these current times.
Freshness will have a huge bearing on it. If we had a weeks rest for the match in europe i would bet on us to win. But i looked at the ties on BT and we are playing each game in between PL matches. The same if we get to the semis.
If i were mourinho i would rest players. I would concentrate in the europa now.
