Martial barely had to do any defending todaySadly I see much more flattering to deceive than end product. He did work hard defensively to be fair.

Well we were more positive for sure, until the end where we retreated defensively again( even against 10) and were punished. We have got away with it over the last few weeks, or luck ran out today.I just think people are knee jerking. The finishing was ridiculous today. And those defensive errors really cost us but had we won this game, I don't think people would be talking about the individual performance of these players today. For the most part I thought we played well. We actually looked like a competent attacking team almost.
I don't think it's luck either. While I thought we otherwise played well, by retreating so much, we've been asking for this. It just bit us in the ass this time. Clearly a Jose tactic though.Well we were more positive for sure, until the end where we retreated defensively again( even against 10) and were punished. Definitely not. It isn’t Mourinho’s fault. He inherited a terrible squad. This is a genuine question .
Does it all come from Jose ?
How the standards at this club have fallen.... Did Lukkaku even test the GK once, his job is to put the ball in the back of the net, and unless he gets a tap in or a header, he cant score, that is no where near how a striker should be at this club
This United team just can't deal with expectation. Utterly spineless. We probably would have won that against 11 men, but the fact they had 10 made us shit ourselves. The state of the finishing. The state of the performance in those last few minutes. Even Liverpool would have seen that out after the red card (actually they would have won 4/5-1).
We have to go and buy some attacking players in January who are clinical. Even then I think the mentality of the squad is fecked. The bigger picture is that in the post-SAF era we just can't handle the pressure. It may be years before the mentality changes.
United are the only team in the league that can turn having a man advantage into a handicap.
Definitely not. It isn’t Mourinho’s fault. He inherited a terrible squad.
Agreed. Of course the players are to blame too, but my feeling is that we are not functioning as a coherent team, we seem like a bunch of individual players.Who is to blame?
For this particular game...may be players..missing good chances, but then you can argue that even Leicester missed few .
On overall I think mourinho has to take blame for it. Because he isnt building your team on performance level. Just improving result wont work anymore as epl is getting stronger day by day.
Its ok for someone like moyes to only care for results at westham. But at the club of the size of united and particularly with the resources available mourinho should be building a team not to just chip in results but to dominate the league, something pep is trying to do at city. Mourinho was signed even before your season ended, and i don't think there was any instant pressure on him to deliver. Had good amount of time and money to really create a more stable and dominant team.
We lost against Liecster? Bugger. I thought he had won. Week ruined.I would blame this defeat on Jose. To tell the truth we didn't really dominate them, you could always feel they would score or will create chances since we were never completely in control of the game. The major issues I saw was
1. Matic and Pogba as two central midfielders doesn't provide defensive stability or control, Leicester players were able to pick passes from back to front easily.
2. Mahrez was not man marked and considering he is the only really good player for them, think we shouldn't have allowed him that much freedom.
3. The players confidence is shattered in front of goal, which I think is caused by a lot of negative tactics thrown around by Jose and we are not in that scoring mood anymore.
4. Smalling and Jones would be excellent defenders for WBA or a Stoke, but they are not Man Utd standard. We need good defenders with composure. IMO Rojo and Bailly should be first choice once they are both available.
5. For all the hate Mkhitariyan gets, I for one believe that he has still a chance at this club. He is a proven player and he will come good once Jose plays more positive balanced football.
6. Rashford needs to be dropped from the squad, just so that he can refocus.
7. DDG is arguably one of the best GK's, but he can still improve on many aspects like commanding the area, better distribution etc..
Who is to blame?

Sorry a draw, well almost felt like a defeat. We lost against Liecster? Bugger. I thought he had won. Week ruined.
We played very well today but some poor decision making cost us.
Rashford needs dropping? Why the feck?

So when he plays defensively, then he is parking the bus and not playing the attractive brand of football that the fans demand. When he plays more offensively, then it's not enough defensive stability, and it's his fault that the strikers can't put away 5 sitters (you covered that in #3, so you are actually blaming him for that).
Also, see #5.
2. Mahrez was not man marked and considering he is the only really good player for them, think we shouldn't have allowed him that much freedom.
So now we need more defensive stability and man marking on their one good player. We don't want offensive flair. We want defense and man marking the only good player Leicester has. Hmm...
3. The players confidence is shattered in front of goal, which I think is caused by a lot of negative tactics thrown around by Jose and we are not in that scoring mood anymore.

Once they are both available. Maybe Jose is at fault for their injuries. I wouldn't be surprised if someone said this.

He had two summer transfer windows...Definitely not. It isn’t Mourinho’s fault. He inherited a terrible squad.
They just seem such an unlikeable team at the moment. Really struggling to watch them.
Thought we were good today - utterly in control and should have been out of sight. First goal was poor goalkeeping and a combined team idiot moment - it happens. Smalling shouldn't have been on the pitch for their second - extremely poor decision by him and coaching staff.
Do not you know it is just a start of re-building? He will get his 3rd summer transfer window, and if he wins nothing of note and leaves, some people will still claim that he needed more time now that he finally got the team he wished. He had two summer transfer windows...
That requires brains and leadership, something we haven't seen for 4 years.
Wow this infuriated me. Lukaku who busted a gut all game made a run only for Rashford to jog onto the ball and turn around. I'd have been livid if I was Lukaku because he was in acres of space.
He‘s bought seven players & had January transfer window.Do not you know it is just a start of re-building? He will get his 3rd summer transfer window, and if he wins nothing of note and leaves, some people will still claim that he needed more time now that he finally got the team he wished.
He wasn't being selfish. It was the 92nd minute and he was unsure whether to play the pass or hold on to the ball and waste time. You could argue that the right pass would have won us the game but the wrong pass would have caused anger. He should probably have passed it given it was not a tough one but I'm more upset at the bloke to took a shot right after that. Forgetting who it was.Agreed. It’s almost like Rashford didn’t want Lukaku to score. I like Rashford but you can certainly detect more and more selfishness in his game these days. On that one v one he did not have to round the keeper. Hope he refocuses.
Sorry but that was not what I'd call an utterly dominant display. What game did people watch?
He is toxic to our results at the moment and I definately don't see a future for him. Lukaku was right to berate him, 3 on 3 he passes to Lukaku and instead of running to collect the lay off or at least compete to win the ball he stops dead. He takes the easiest fecking option every time and outside of Rashford is the most frustrating player on the team. I would have Jones in there before Herrera for the last 20 minutes. Speaking of Rashford he needs the Christmas off. He has been terrible the last few weeks and today I was absolutely shocked at his dumbfeckery in not passing to Lukaku. Martial should be 90 minutes every game over the next two weeks as Rashford has brought nothing to our attack.Great the way Herrera refused to go to RB and then gave Albrighton 10 yards to swing in that cross.... captain material.
New manager, tactics, subs, style of play, manager. I am so tired of the cr@p Mourinho is shoveling, we have no identity rxcrpt parking the bus and hoofing the ball to the opposition. Time for a new manager
