The players we have on the field are very poor. They have poor technique, both controlling the ball and moving it to where they want it to go. They have poor movement on and off the ball. The static play phenomenon has been going on for years pre-Mourinho. An MU team that is competitive will need a change of at least half the outfield players.

Last season Utd conceded a total of 28 goals, this season they have already conceded 29 and have a zero GD, and it's not even halfway yet.

This Jose interview is extremely awkward. I want him out and think he's made bad mistakes himself but he's being hung out to dry here to an extent, as are the players (their own obvious failings aside).
If there is an after game press conference, somebody needs to ask him if he will ever take the blame for the position we are in. Go for the throat.

I promise you, the exact same team but with different coaching/mindset will be in the top 4 conversation. The amount of potential quality in this team is INSANE - DDG, Pog, Fred, Rash, Martial - hell even the big man and Lingard - with the right coaching, this team can be scary.

Few things hurt more than losing to this lot. 17 games in. 19 points behind. 0 goals difference. Damning really. Unacceptable is an understatement. Manager looks shot. Too many players not good enough for the club. A right royal mess...
While I agree we need a lot of new players, having a more attack minded manager would do a lot. We really would be challenging for top 4 if we had a manager who gets the best out of Pogba, Martial, Lukaku... Mourinho is the biggest problem.

I came into the game expecting us to lose, not wanting us to lose. However when we drew level, as usual my hopes were built up. Just to be dashed as usual.
We've had these type of owners for quite some time, nothing new to it. Liverpools owners are hardly hardcore Liverpool supporters, they're businessmen as well.
Mourinho has spent a shitload in transfer fees, then there's the additional "free" signings of Alexis Sanchez and Ibrahimovic. Most money spent on wages in the league. He's had more than enough money to create "his team". I honestly fear for anyone who watches Manchester United play and think the issue is money spent, not tactics and what we're trying to achieve on the pitch.
Klopp took over Liverpool a season before Mourinho, insisted that the team plays a specific way, didn't always work due to some players being more limited at others, but there was a clear pattern of what he wanted to achieve, slowly they've been buying players that fit the pattern of football they aim to achieve and now he's pretty close to achieving it, he's built a side that looks like it can compete with a very strong Manchester City side.
Mourinho on the other hand has built nothing, he's busy complaining about lack of transfers because we didn't buy a new central defender to replace one of the two he's already signed. We've reverted to hoofing the ball up to a striker that's not even suited to that type of football. Whenever a player has the ball there's zero movement around him, there's no passing triangles so that the player with the ball always have two passing options.
The main problem is that Mourinho's ideas are outdated.
How many transfer windows has he had now? Surely buying Toby Alderwerald is not the answer to all this malaise. Jose has bought 8 players and he has shown no idea as to how a team can play a football match.

Just listened to Roy Keane summary and he makes that point. At best we are a mid table squad.
We can all apportion blame as to why that is and it is not just about money.
