Entertaining game, or the bits of we saw of it between Klopp-cam were anyway.

Decent performance in the 1st half. Gutless in the 2nd. Got what we deserved in the end. Sitting back and punting it just doesn't ever work. I don't know why we keep doing it.

Alright peformance which is a big improvement over our showings in recent times. Good desire and work rate. But it's the quality management that I simply don't see this season. Plucky underdog performances are merely for results rather than progress.

Liverpool dropped 2 points which is good.

Given the quality of players we had this was more than ideal. A fit Pogba, Martial, Axel, Shaw and the story changes.

Time wasting with 20 minutes left. Didnt add any legs in midfield and prayed for a 1-0.

Not a game winning tactic.

Feels like a loss after how it went for the majority of the game

Probably a fair result overall.
I dislike the way that we played after half time. Didn't really create anything and all we set out to do was to stop Liverpool scoring, which they eventually did.
A bit more bite from our players, which is definitely pleasing to see. But, I'm still so concerned with how we struggle to create chances.

We put the effort in, Ole tried something else. Sloppy goal conceded after all that work.

Shame.

Mourinho was hung out to dry when we performed like this. However this is now being considered a good performance because Ole has let the standards drop so low.

100% spot on.

People saying we were average?! I thought we played well. Good discipline. Decent shape. Switched off a bit for their goal but we deserved the 3 points. Come on ffs.

Giving Liverpool the ball and waiting not concede is the F****** worst idea to save a lead. Ole is just not good enough!

Can’t criticise the team. One lapse leaving one of their fullbacks and we got punished.

Can Ole use this performance to galvanise the team and take us on a a winning run? That’s what he needs to do.

Massively disappointed we didn't make any attacking changes after they equalised. Good chance it would have still been a draw but at least take the risk. Could see a few players were tired.

What the feck will it take to finally get rid of Ashley Young? He is constantly making mistakes that cost United, and yet he just keeps getting games. I would take someone from the U23s ahead of him, because at least those kids will have potential. Young just has potential mistakes.

This.

I'm not even blaming him at this point. He's not selecting himself.

Gutted. Would have taken that beforehand but I've been deprived of an hilarious evening reading RAWK.

That's more like it. I thought we showed plenty of desire but the sheer gulf in quality between the two sides is quite obvious towards the end.

But ultimately, we were hanging on at home against a Liverpool side who barely turned up.

I’m astounded at the moaning going on here post match. Ffs.
We got a point, played decent, give everything yet posters are still going in on the players and manager.
Yeah if you call parking the bus in the second half and hoping for a counter-attack as decent playing for Manchester United. Ffs.

Was going swimmingly until Ole switched us to sitting back and defending.
Liverpool come up against that every week.
They struggled with being pressed.

Better than expected, but can't help thinking, "Can't score more than once, and can't keep a clean sheet."

I'm sure we've sacked managers for playing park the bus football.

Organised and effective today. Nothing new there though; it's not going to help us in the majority of games where we need to be proactive in our play.

Excellent performance in the context of the dreadful form, and the lack of strength in the team and squad.
Promising, and that buys Ole some time.

Someone stops Liverpool finally, albeit 2 points dropped not 3.
But they know they have a mental barrier at our ground now, couldn't beat us with 4 injuries last year, couldn't beat this outfit today.

It was a game of two halves
Yep. I think we are still not there yet fitnes wise compared to Liverpool, to be expected really.

We were the better team first half imo and defended well second half. A good game considering the quality of the teams and we could have even won it but a fair result in the end.

We neutralised their attack so well and then to concede like we did, first with McT not closing down Keita then AWB not preventing the cross and the ball just floating across our entire back three with no one intercepting it, was so so disappointing.

Having said that I’m proud of our performance in the first half. Then we did okay in the second half but we shouldn’t have sat back as much as we did. Let’s see how our performances continue from here.

I'm sure we've sacked managers for playing park the bus football.

Bloody hell mate, we were 1-0 up to Liverpool with a sh!t team out, in appalling form.
It was exactly the way to play it.

Fantastic performance.
Great tactically, great desire.
Unlucky to draw but I'll take that all day long.
Yep! Some crazy, stupid and post realisation responses on here. Read the several pre game threads and 99% were predicting a thrashing, myself included.

We led vs a team on a 17 game winning streak, used to playing sensational free flowing football and became first team to take points off them in a long long time. We were unlucky not to win, but a draw was a fair result.

We are where we are. In that context, it’s a fantastic achievement.

Should feel like a point gained but feels like two dropped. Did much better than any of us expected performance wise, but if you can't score more than one goal it was always a danger to drop some points. Pleased with pretty much every player and the tactics, just think we shouldn't have tried to park the bus towards the end and cede possession-but that was also due to Liverpool subs and maybe it was all our players could manage after wearing themselves out.

3 points would have been so fecking massive but of course, as expected and planned we find a way to feck it up. Bottling weak minded clowns.

Good to end Liverpool's winning run but there is that feeling that we should have won.

Liverpool were always going to score at least one goal though, so getting all defensive in the second half was not a good tactic.

Overall, content with result but not exactly happy. Which is more you can say for most our results this season, except for the Chelsea result.

Liverpool are half the attack when one of Salah and Mane are out. Shame those games are so rare, as they'd soon drop off.
