I’m ready to get attacked for this but, you need a striker. Martial is a very good player and has impressed this season but you’d be in a cup final had those chances been put away it was ridiculously wasteful.

Don’t lose our heads - young, tired, small squad in terms of quality. We got built up by our great run but we don’t have loads of experience there in terms of must win games and we are a little further away than we though.
Still, great progress and I’m happy with our season. Seville are a seasoned European side and not the pushovers they are being made out to be.
We’ll learn to take our chances and play more canny in these games. Personally I don’t think we’re quite as good as Inter yet and I would have hated to have lost to a Lukaku or Sanchez goal!

there'll be loads of moaning about subs and two moments in defence, but miles the better team versus a very good side, finishing let us down.

main lesson should be we need more depth in attack as we have no real options. imagine bringing on grealish or any of the 60m pound players that sit on citys bench.

there'll be lads that are delighted that we lost on their forum because they are married to their narrative, but honestly, they should be laughed off the forum when they come on and say we were rubbish and ole is out of his depth

really good performance, very unlucky not to finish and with very poor reffing, what can you do except be the better team on the night

Only have ourselves to blame for that. I said at half time we had to be calmer. We looked so nervous in front of goal. Should have put away some of our chances.

Having said that Ole got out smarted by the Seville coach. Even if we had equalized, we looked knackered while Seville were fresh with all the subs.

Rashford looks worrying though. He is falling into the Lingard trap of concentrating on off the field antics. He really needs to just concentrate on his football.
