Sheffield United 2:3 Manchester United

Henderson needs to do lot more to convince me. Seems like lot of young english goalkeepers. Thinking he is to good. Need to learn from DeGea 1-2 years.

VanderBeek need to do more. I know it is hard to play well when you have pressure on you to deliver but he is few steps behind in starting position. People should stop blaming Solskjaer for his lack of time.

Maguire needs to show he is captain.

Greenwood must stop with his shooting in bad positions. If he passes and moves he will get better chances.

Imagine the game where we don’t shit ourselves at the start. Could be double digits.

Good win and a performance but simply not good enough in defence. Literally every ball launched by Sheffield United in the last 10 mins was won by them. Maguire simply needs to command the defence more than hes doing. We wont win any title with maguire and lindelof in defence. Our attacking play was sublime sometimes.

We keep conceding ridiculous goals. We can't keep doing that, simple as.We have gone behind in every away game.Incredible stat. All the DdG bashers can shut their gobs now for a while.

This was a great win as usually we shoot ourselves in the foot with opportunities like this. They made me eat my words tonight and I love it. Come on United

Game in hand away from going 2nd. Nice win, mostly in control, bur 2 sloppy goals to concede.

The majority of this lot don't want to do anything even remotely above and beyond getting the points and fecking off home.

Job done and deserved win. 10 away league wins in a row first premier league team to do that since that very consistent Man City team in 2017, imagine where United could be in the table if they could sort out their home form.

I expected Sheffield United to give a competitive game as everyone of their home games have been that way this season and they only lost 2-1 to Liverpool in Anfield. The only disappointment was conceding two goals 1st a gift from Henderson the 2nd should not have stood as it should have been a corner kick instead of a corner.

Henderson in fairness to him made up for his error with a fine save late on

I think a new CB to replace Maguire is necessary. He puts people under pressure. He should have never passed it to Hendo. Yes Hendo should have cleared it but why the heck did Maguire pass it back to him knowing that they were pressing?

Terrible first 15 average in the middle 60 and terrible in the last 15 again. In the end it was enough against a poor Sheff utd, job done.

Rashford and martial were decent tonight and we saw everything that is good and bad about pogba through the 90 minutes. Henderson looked solid enough apart from the brain fart for the first goal although he wasnt exactly helped out by maguires somewhat pointless pass back to him.

What the heck was Donny doing when he came on?! Absolutely atrocious.
I've noticed, playing him at 10 is like playing with 10 men. Box to box or sub....at least now we know

We're a win away from our game in hand from being 2nd 2 points off Liverpool. Anyone starting to believe?

Glad we got the win, but the performance was far from impressive.

Yes, a win. We could be 2nd if we win our game in hand. Hope some departures and couple of arrival, we could really challenge for the title. One DM and one CB. We will be challenging. Let's go.

Sloppy goals will be our downfall this season. We allow teams to get easy goals against us when we look comfortable (i.e. tonight and against PSG). Our defence is just not good enough to win major honours.
We should have won this game comfortably but we have such a lackadaisical attitude.

Do Leeds, scum, on Sunday, and we go second, ugly, yes, give a fook? No.

Have to question oles subs there, bringing on 2 slow and weak players as impact subs? Bit odd.

we are such a frustrating team, capable of world class goals and absolutely shocking misses and defending at the same time
He was going to bring on James then realised it was a bottom of the table side so changed his mind

Silly error for their 1st goal and we were dog poo for a period after that, then we equalised and played some lovely attacking football for the majority of the game. Rashford was exquisite, pogba superb, bruno. Great touches. Henderson made a bad error but then redeemed himself and had a good game After the howler.... Entertaining game and a nail biting finish after they got a late scrappy 2nd. Wasnt as close as it looked, on another day we would have scored 5 or 6.

vital win, happy days.

Prime Carrick completes this team. He could handle the defense and deep passing in midfield on his own. Just have him sit there and feed Pogba and Bruno to do their stuff.

Also that little spell before the 3rd goal shows the risk and reward of playing Pogba so deep. People hate that he holds onto the ball instead of quickly releasing it, the point is to draw the press, beat it with skill or strength or a quick pass, and then the game is open. When it doesn't work, the opposition win it high. It would be less scary if he was playing slightly forward, in a 4-3-3 rather than 4-2-3-1.

Next away game we might as well just boot the ball into our own net at kick off.

To be fair we sort of did that today anyway

Both goals were flukey, so can't fault the defenders on either one. The goalie on the other hand is a different thing for the first goal, Henderson had no business taking an extra touch there.

Glad to see Tony get off the mark and some quality finishing from Rashford.
Course you can, Lindelöf was shite all game, got beaten for the header for their second and there was absolutely 0 need for Maguire, Lindelöf and Henderson to be playing it around between themselves for the first goal. Henderson and Lindelöf were garbage today.

Happy to take the points but if we start like that against Leeds, Leicester and Wolves one of them will spank us.

Tough to watch at times.

The way we sre starting matches is awful ...this is on the manager and his staff.

I also see a real lack of intensity to our play.and a lack of running

But we won

When records are at stake, it's never easy...

- Sheff Utd have now made the worst start in the English top flight since the league was formed back in the 1800's

- Man Utd are now the first English team to go behind in 6 consecutive away league games and still win them all (according to Ally McCoist)

Lack of concentration or nerves or a combination of both contributes to these poor starts.
We've had this problem post Fergie with all the managers, so it's got to be some external pressure we're dealing with very well imho.

Terrible first 15 average in the middle 60 and terrible in the last 15 again. In the end it was enough against a poor Sheff utd, job done.

You cant blame Harry at all cor that. Glad Henderson saw out the game. Was more confident at corners (even though we conceded from one)

Hendo fecked up on the first goal, but that save at the end bailed out Lindeloff and Ole.

No problem with a hard fought away win against what I will always maintain is a decent side short of confidence. Liverpool and City could easily have dropped points to these this season as well and both scored less than us in their games. What I do have a problem with though, is Lindelof. The table says we are in a title challenge, but we are not unless we sign a new CB in January to replace him.

Also, Henderson with a top save at the end. Start him in the next game please. DDG has made loads of mistakes over the past two years already. The fact that Deano made that save shows his excellent mentality.

All in all, good result with some good football on display. But please Ole, make the team start well in games, especially this weekend, or Leeds will fly out the blocks as they always do and be out of sight by the time we wake up.

I've been critical of Michael Oliver in the past but, to be fair, the advantage he played on the Greenwood foul for the third goal was excellent.

Our usual huge weaknesses coming to the fore again.

Bad start
Cannot defend from set pieces.

We can look really good, be in total control of the game have all the momentum and the opposition look a beaten team .

And yet we can concede a goal from anywhere. It's so annoying

But we won
I just said in my previous post we've been having this problem with all other managers as well. It's psychological I feel.
