Brilliant win! Very confident display, first few minutes were expected a bit to bee shaky but class all way through. So happy the good days are back, and excited to see what the season has in store for us.

Decent performance. I do think Southampton cut straight through our midfield a little easily at times though so still a lot or work to do. Would still like to see a 3 man midfield rather than two centre mids and one number 10 which leaves us a open to getting overrun in midfield at times.

Next time you pass!

fecking hell.

I don't think we were brilliant and there were patches we looked shaky. Expected though since the team is still feeling its way this early on in the season. Some of the attacking play however...
So much positives with each passing game. Exciting times ahead.

Very enjoyable, United are back, this is only the start of a new special time, wait till they all gel.
Pogba great performance for his first match of the season, Zlatan MoM for the two goals.
Everyone had a good game.
We have a great squad now.

Football!
It's so long since we've played it.
Powerful and creative.
My heart was fluttering like when @Di Maria's angel sees that girl he's stalking.

Zlatan and Pogba looked brilliant. Exactly what we've needed.
Bailly lived up to his reputation as a diamond in the rough and looks to have a lot of potential.
Valencia also played very well. Hope he proves a lot wrong over the season (me included).
I'm loving how attacking him and Shaw are, who also had a very good game.

The best part is that we've still got more gears. That and it seems like our new players really want to be here and do well.
A good day.

FFS .

I've got to say we're looking so much more exciting, more positive and after hearing Moureen I have to agree, football has changed and we can show moments of the United that the old cnuts like me have grown up with but its true that we have to show a measure of patience. We had the least possession but it didn't feel like that for me.

Enjoyed tonight, long may it continue

First time in about a year Ive enjoyed watching us,very enjoyable game and frightening to think the best is yet to come.
Need to sharpen a bit defensively as we switched off at times or were caught out a bit, better opposition would have punished us.
Overall delighted with the changes Im seeing flow though the team.Thought Pogba,Shaw and Rooney were excellent.

Am I imagining it or has Giggs had a facelift? No wrinkles at all around his eyes.

did i want jose as manager ? i wasn't 100% but already we can see what he has done to the team with the players knowing the job, and how he has chaged fellaini so soon shows how good he is as a man manager,

slight concern for me is valenica at rb not going forward, but his space he leaves at the back is worrying,

pogba he's a machine right ? all over the pitch in a weeks training.

racheal riley is my motm :D

Also I don't think Rachel Riley is quite live tv presenter material. She gets away with it when it's not live.
I still love her though, and hopefully she'll crack on from here and improve her delivery over the course of the season.

We looked we could up a couple more gears. The team is still gelling.

Unlike in the last 3 years we did not look to be struggling at all. Mourinho standing at the sideline all the time just brings so much confidence too (great ball control by him btw :))

1. We were direct in the 1st half.
2. We counter-attacked with pace in the 2nd half.
3. Zlatan has been near-perfectly clinical.
4. Rooney played well.
5. Pogba was like the big kid in the playground.
6. Pogba was able to get forward and actually be box-to-box.
7. Enjoyable game. A Manchester United game.

Best we have played in ages. Pretty much everyone had a good game and Pogba was great to watch as well.

Nothing much to say apart from well done to he team and hope for another good result next week.

Impressed with the game tonight, plenty to look forward to this season , Pogba very good first game , Side Show was man of the match for me, Mata , Bailly, Valencia all had good games and then there was Ibra doing what Ibra does best, not much but scores a couple of goals, only down points for me Martial had a bad game hopefully a one off and Rooney, well past his sell by date.
I had forgot what it was like to watch a good United team, excited for the season ahead.

Drunk and can't read last 6 pages but felt like #businessasusual and Pogs is silky as feck. Feels like the good auld days lads!

Howson from FTD has made it on Sky Sports?! Had to stop watching his interview, the guy is so jarring.

What we all knew is getting confirmed match after match, Rooney is out of his depth with the new players we have. Technically he is the worst of the team now and easily so.

Can't see him being allowed to slow us down and force Pogba deeper into a restricted role for long. He and Mata are going to have to up their games rapidly if they want to keep up.

Only downside is that DDG looked bored :D

He's not the only Galactico in the team, now.

Two words: Tony V.

The beast is back.

I think with Valencia, he now has someone with height to aim for.
So Jose has probably told him to aim for someone's head in the penalty box, at around 7' in the air.

It's strange seeing Ryan doing punditry.
I feel like asking him, "Ryan, if you knew that a tall/strong striker (classic English type centre forward) was needed in a EPL team, why the devil did you not push to buy one?"
