I don't know why but I feel like I hate Spurs more than almost every other team.

A nothing second half stalemate which had draw written all over it for the entire 45 minutes. Can't believe we haven't scored in that first half though, should have had 3. Frustrating really. Mata was good in a game full of average performances.

Poor second half. We are missing the majority of our midfield options, though, and I think it shows. We badly needed the likes of Di Maria, Herrera or even Fellaini to come on and give us some legs in that second half.

We should have won the game in the first half, however, which is frustrating. All things considered a point isn't the end of the world. Nine unbeaten with Stoke to come.

Very good first half, shame about the finishing. The second half was terrible though we still could have won it (that Mata chance...).

Not a bad result but two points dropped, definitely.

I think the players just accept that we can't win away from home.

2 points dropped - this now confirms categorically that we're out of the title running (not that we were in it!) - we just have to worry about finishing in a CL place. Arsenal 6 points behind with a game in hand is a major worry, considering we've got Stoke away next. I expect the game to be down to 2 points after the stoke game!!

Not sure what happened in the second half, probably fatigue.

Was Wilson even on the bench? The one match you'd actually think he would be of value coming off the bench since surely RVP and Falcao must be tired.

I would also have been tempted to put in another midfielder and play with one up top when it became apparent in the second half we lost control of the game.

And finally we could have done with the likes of di Maria, Fellaini and Herrera fit during this run of games, if they are genuinely unable to play then that's one thing but with Louis van Gaal's extra cautious approach when it comes to injuries you never know.

Either way it's a learning experience, LvG's first christmas period, still we can't blame him since we should have been 2 up by half time.

Good first half, should have buried atleast two of them. 2nd half was poor, couldn't keep the ball for more than 5 secs. Never looked like getting a winner in the end. Shame as spurs were there for the taking.

Play your best striker as a striker or you'll rue missed chances and drop points.

A self-inflicted draw.

In the first half we spurned the numerous chances created and overall dominance; however in the second half Spurs nullified much of the team's attacking threat from an early stage, LVG's failure to respond to this was disappointing.

One of our best first half performances, one of our worst second half performances. Poor from van Gaal to allow us to go from being so dominant in the first half to genuinely not having the ball for longer than twenty seconds at a time in the second half. Anyway I would have taken a point before kick-off.

Blistering first half, but weak finishing. Should have been 4-0 up.

Defensive substitutions seemed to disrupt our control on the game. Spurs were there for the taking. We absorbed a bit of pressure at the end but they rarely looked threatening.

2 points dropped.

I'm not sure we played that well first half, everytime I've seen Tottenham even against shit sides they've given up loads of chances and yet fluked a win. We weren't clinical enough then but at least we didn't concede or allow them too many opportunities. Not sure why the feck Van Gaal changed 3 of the defence when we were under more pressure and yet didn't change the system.

mentally for me it lets me concentrate fully now on the race for 3rd or 4th. I keep hoping the performances will catch up with the results and we might be an outside title hoper but it's not going to happen now. Playing as we are 4th isn't a certainty.

You don't win titles with our away record...so bad away from home

Ultimately, I think that this match will have no bearing on how we eventually finish. A loss would have been catastrophic and I would have taken a draw considering the fixture was only 43 hours after the previous match. Tottenham definitely had more legs in the second half but the players did a good job limiting them to 1-2 real chances. The finishing wasn't great but these things happen.

Definitely had heavy legs in the second half. Good clean sheet and I hope Rafael and Shaw returning means a back 4 next game.

RvP should have had 2 goals-just wasn't his day. Take the point and get ready for Stoke.

Should have won that game, and uncharacteristically poor finishing cost us it. Mata very good, Jones continuing his solid season, Jon Moss an officious little tw*t.

Strootman first day buy. feck this, we need a fecking midfielder alongside Carrick. Rooney is a 10 not a fecking midfielder.

Get real tired of seing mata scuff those chances

How is Strootman (who is a shadow of his former self) going to improve finishing ? We had enough chances to have a comfortable lead in the first half.

RVP really should've won us the game... multiple times.

We needed replacements in midfield and attack in the second half and it was obvious Falcao was done at the 70 minute mark or so. He's not match fit yet.

Fantastic first half, abysmal second. Our piss poor finishing in the first half cost us, as we all feared. Also, 3 defensive subs meant our midfield and forward players were all knackered in the final 30 minutes, and it showed. But I guess our injury list is to blame for that. On the whole a draw is a fair result, but we've definitely thrown it away in the first half and we can't be happy with that. Extremely frustrating game.

The ref didn't help either. Blatant homer.

Have 2 teams play in less than 48 hours and that's the kind of match you are going to get.

We had no fresh legs in midfield and after minute 60 it became painfully obvious that it wasn't going to happen for us.

Carrick was the only midfielder on the field for us. When Herrera/Blind/Fellaini are fit, we should drop Falcao and put Rooney up top with RvP. He is in great form and the injuries are forcing us to play him in midfield.
Also, another couple of injuries. It's getting ridiculous now.

Another meh away performance. First half brilliant until the finishing, second half Spurs raised their game. Point not the worst result but after the chances we had disappointed to only leave with a point.

Ashley Young man of the match for me after first half performance, second half he looked as poor as the rest.

Annoying. If our forwards' finishing has been bailing us out, maybe they were due an off day. Genuinely about 5 huge chances. Not particularly impressed with Van Gaal's subs this game. Ah well.

Pochettino sounds demented on the touchline.

Good first half, shit second. RVP, Falcao and Mata should all have scored and thats what cost us 2 points. Rafael won't get near the starting eleven with performances like today he was awful.

Frustrating and disappointing. Any dreams of the title this season should be put to bed. Our away form simply doesn't back that claim up. We had plenty of attacking talent out there but the lack of conviction in front of goal has cost us. We aren't as ruthless as teams like Chelsea and Man City, who would have killed off Spurs with those 1st half chances.

Second half showed our Achille's heel: we struggle to pass it out of the back when we're being pressed. Our centrebacks just aren't suited to a back 3 system where the onus is on them to build attacks. I could see why we switched to a back 4, but Rafael was so poor on the ball that it negated the tactical change. Falcao couldn't hold up anything either, so we found it impossible to get out of our own half.

Just a bad day at the office.

Their small pitch made it difficult for our attacking players to show their full potential. But we should have won because of the first half chances.

Very good 1st half, terrible 2nd. We should have buried one of those chances in the 1st half.
Not the end of the world of course but Spurs were there for the taking.

We need some of our midfielders back asap.
