We were very effective and totally deserved the win. Spurs had 62% possession. We had 38%. But we had 5 shots on target compared to their 2. Apart from 15 minutes at the beginning there was only team in it. I mentioned earlier during the week Spurs are like Arsenal 2006-2012. A lot of tippy tappy football but no cutting edge and no trophies. Arsenal were very good in that period and played good football but there are similarities in the naivety of both teams. The tactics today were spot on and although we had a bad start we recovered very well and were the best team throughout. I felt we could've scored more goals if we wanted too. The game was in total control. I would like us to start games with more intensity sometimes and the fullback situation is still a major concern but all in all I'm very proud of the team and we got a great chance in the Final now. Can't wait for it.

Fantastic performance by the lads, especially from Herrera and Sánches! My two favorites today. Our defense did very well beside the spurs goal. Love the mentality and will that Phil Jones puts into the game! He gets the job done.

Disagree. Tactics were perfect. We did not execute on their goal. Pogba failed to pick up Eriksen's run and Valencia was late picking up Alli. That's just a failure in executing the game plan. But the tactics were correct. The midfield 3 of Herrera, Pogba and Matic clogged the middle and Lingard and Sanchez were as far back as our own penalty box, closing down the ball on the wings. It was more of a 4-5-1, with the plan of countering quickly, and our second came from a counter.

Great game. I thought Pogba, Herrera and Sanchez were tremendous. Pogba is so dangerous with the ball on the counter-attack. He is too swift to catch up and stop, too big and strong to muscle off the ball without fouling, and he has a good eye for a pass.

Terrible football. Boring, side to side passing. The amount of stick Mourinho gets compared to the love and adulation Pochettino gets is stark. We’re in the final and the pretty football they play has got them nothing. Delighted with the result.

It will be very interesting to see who we will face in the final. I really hope it’s Southampton as I believe Chelsea are the better side.

Today was a good day. Liverpool winning conceding 2 goals to draw the game against West Brom gives us that buffer in the league. We should finish 2nd and if we win the FA Cup then it should be viewed as a good season.

Just got back from the game, delighted we are through to the final.
Very poor start from us but we showed great determination to get back into the match. We defended excellently all game and countered very well too, in the second half, despite Spurs having a lot of the ball, we were the only team to create any decent chances and thus probably deserved it.

I voted Herrera MOTM. Thought he was fantastic all game but fair play to Sánchez, Pogba and Smalling who all had good games too.

Still, we haven’t won the trophy yet. Let’s make sure we secure second and have a final to remember for the right reasons.

We can improve, we can get better but we're a good side. There's lots to admire about this Mourinho team. But I'm a fan of Jose so I'm biased.

Lukaku got a foul called on him for far less earlier in the game. It's one of those gimme challenges that refs use to control the game. When attackers do it, it's a foul but not when defenders do it.

Just got back, atmosphere was great in the stadium especially after we scored the 2nd goal.
Spurs played some pretty football but they were toothless in the final 3rd, I never felt any tension at all, it was pretty comfortable for us.

Thought it was a really gold solid performance today. Herrera, Pogba and Sanchez all gave very good showings. Sanchez playing like that gives you the feeling of having 12 men on the field, as he absolutely works his bollocks off. Great to see the Lieutenant back in top form too.

Smalling and Jones did very well to keep Kane so quiet after that first 20 minutes. In fact, the entire defensive effort was of a very high standard today. Eriksen was possibly the best player on the pitch, but his attacking teammates were all quite poor today and marshalled well by us.

Felt a comfortable win in the end. No big De Gea moments and we looked more likely to nick a third on the break.
