what about the penalty appeal for WHU? It was a clear foul and should have been given. None of our penalty claimes held any water.

Fine..but he has history.

Martin Atkinson given break from refereeing duties after controversial display at Chelsea
  • Referee Martin Atkinson has been overlooked for this weekend's fixtures
  • Atkinson failed to make a number of decisions correctly during Chelsea's heated game with Burnley
  • He will be fourth official for Manchester United vs Sunderland on Saturday

had to win it today to go through, our players don't have the heart to go to Upton Park and win. Also think this game will have to be played on a CL night.

Did okay, the better team, some good performances, obviously fellainis confidence has gone down 5 more notches. Would have won if not for a terrible ref performance you'd think. Basti looked good.

Negatives probably fellaini, memphis looking like he'll never be an impact sub, carrick still looking a bit off the pace, the home support is woeful

Hated every minute of it, took 60mins for their goalkeeper to touch the ball.

Bit rich with the shite that's being served up.

It's awful. Win or a loss so we didn't have to deal with replay (an inevitable loss quite frankly).

Yeah, but a loss demoralises everyone further. At least a late salvaged draw might lift things.

We didn't deserve to lose today anyway.

If we get no more significant injuries this season, then we still have a chance for the cup and for top four. Need BFS to be on top form and everyone else too obviously. Some tough games coming up as well. Hope is all we have left at this point I think.

Lord what a season.

Weirdly I think we have a very good chance there. Not sure why, but everyone will be so expecting us to lose that just maybe it will work in our favour.

The happy clappers who shook LVG's hand at the end of the game are a disgrace to our fan base.

Once we scored my hopes rose again. Really really want to win the FA Cup. Will be difficult away to West Ham but we're still in it so let's see what happens.

Think the boys showed commitment today, the problem is VG doesn't seem to use the right combination in the first instance, and those on the pitch either can't hack it or something. God knows what we do in training...

Basti was good when he came on. Let's hope he at least starts the next game.
Not gonna get down on Felli - he tried, but he just doesn't have anything to offer:(

of course! dont get me wrong - hes and idiot and i cant stand him. He was in charge in a few consective United-Chelsea games and we always got some wrong decisions. I think he is a terrible ref and he does have an irrtating habbit of making errors that cost United.

I understand not booing or giving grief during the 90 minutes.

Once that full-time whistle blows, I have no idea why anyone is clapping that shite. It's fecking delusional. I'm glad they have money to burn.

This isn't a one-off (in which it would be harsh).

Reid should have been off early on for that Two footed tackle.. Yellow

Noble should have been carded earlier for Lingard foul: Not given and Fellaini-------- gets the yellow seconds later..

Payet should have seen a second yellow for that dive: Not given.. Goes on to score..

Another two footed challenge by their player(can't remember the name), while Noble was tugging the shirt: Yellow card again...

To say the ref bottled it is a friggin understatement...

Not one of the listed incident is a RAWK like imaginary scenario..

We should consider ourselves lucky that the ref allowed us to score and take it to a replay..

Going to have to get the lineups spot on over the next 3 games for certain.
What a 7 days that'll be!

We started brightly, some of the decision making was poor in the final 3rd. However the referee was shocking - how he justifies his yellow cards.

Replay won't be easy

You know how it works. Any scenario we benefit from everyone remembers, but days like this no one will

Hey come on. Have you been to OT? When we look as though we are going out, then when it's reprieved sure we clap. We know we are shite, but we are not out. What do you do, boo the team as they go off. They haven't lost....we have another chance...so cheer them, get them up, show them we support them.....there is still another chance!

Exactly, it really annoys me. It can help give off an incorrect sense that the fans are fully behind him, which may tempt the board to keep him.

I didn't say to boo them. I said don't fecking clap it. Like as if that is anywhere near acceptable.

It's the same fecking morons who applauded Moyes on to the pitch as well.

Van Gaal is hanging on like a turtle head turd. He's going to fluke a win on the lady day of the session that will give us 6th and keep him here next season....

Ref fecking bollocks!

Not sure what's worse, Atkinson gets it wrong in real time, or that twat in the van Webb gets it wrong even with the aid of fecking replays!!

I go to OT a lot and I personally wouldn't clap that shite and especially wouldn't shake Van Gaals hand, it's part his fault we are in this mess to start with, why would you shake his hand because he got a draw at home?

Did anyone else feel nothing when we equalised?
I wouldn't say nothing, but certainly quite little. This is one if the things the club should be extremely concerned about - the rapid decline in interest in, and passion for, the club. It's absolutely remarkable how far we've fallen in virtually every respect since Sir Alex retired. Our style of football has deteriorated to a level few would have predicted. The results (let alone titles) have completely vanished. Most disturbingly, our standards seem to have dropped. Excellence is clearly no longer demanded of either players or the coaches. They certainly don't seem to demand it of ech other. Scholes isn't the world's greatest pundit, but he hit the nail on the head when he indicated that our measure of success is now at an Arsenal level, and that we lack true leaders. For me, that should be completely unacceptable. It's inevitable that this will all negatively impact the club's financial performance. Perhaps that's what it will take before meaningful changes are made. The decision making over the last three years has been shocking. This is a very big summer for United - it's time to decide if we're serious about being a truly big club in the football world, with ambitions of competing for titles year after year, or a second tier team with a glorious history.

He should have been kicked out by the FA. Pretty sure there were stories he had the use of some holiday place or the other from someone at Chelsea. Might have even been Mourinho....:nervous:

That Payet PK appeal was never a penalty. Rojo lost it a little bit there, diving in like that but had the presence of mind to pull out.

Go up to them at one of the remaining games and tell them then, I'm sure they'll appreciate the advice on how they're not supporting their team properly.

Better performance and didn't deserve to lose but we're too slow and deliberate, we need spontaneity.
Atkinson a prat as usual
Payet dives and surprise doesn't get 2nd yellow
LvG does not know what he's doing
Fellaini and Lingard pointless
Please replace Blind at CB asap
More weird substitutions

It was a really good game against what seemed like pretty even sides which is not good for us obviously

I'm not overly disappointed and we showed some character to get the replay

Those hardcore supporters in the Kop are generally disliked by the wider Liverpool support (and highly so). They are sanctimonious kunts.
perhaps, but their atmosphere is better than ours. That takes nothing away from uniteds away support who I feel, without having huge insight, are the best in the league. But at home - maybe the stadium is just too big - but we create tension and home advantage evaporates. Is that not fair enough to say?
