Post-match discussion

Phew....

I thought we were decent in the first half. Nice and lively just missing that little bit of quality when it came to finishing.

The thing that annoyed me most was Linekars tone of voice and commentary at half time, making out we were shite because it was 0-0 when loads of other games were also 0-0. Including the likes of Man City and Juventus.

The second half was pretty dire though. End to end against Young boys doesn’t inspire confidence.

Those sides weren't playing Swiss minnows at home though...

Ok, it’s great to get through but feck me really? It’s painful and some of Mourinhos decisions are beyond the pale, he took Fred off which for me was our best player and when he came off we seemed to go to shit. Some of his decisions seem designed to get himself the sack, it’s fecking weird.

We are shite, aren't we? Despite our best efforts we made it through the group, thank feck. If I want to make it through another game with a midfield combination of Matic and Fellaini I'm gonna have to get absolutely plastered.

Put all the blame on Mourinho if you want but most of these players are a joke. Wtf was that.

Mourinho's longball heaven .. Get that idiot out of my club. Smalling motm, shout out to DDG.

Had to miss the game because of work today. Seems like I didn’t miss much? Glad to see that we’re through but not too upset at missing out on another grind.

How many match winning goals has Fellaini scored for us now? By far one of the better purchases we’ve made since SAF.
Big Felli, what a wonderful guy.
I agree, a very divisive player but when we are in the shit he gives us a chance. He was pretty decent up front for Everton.

Felt more gutted than happy when I saw Fellaini score the winner from a long ball, that's a first for me.

Right?!

Call me a bad supporter, but I was actually kinda rooting for Young Boys today.

Pathetic, embarrassing performance and I almost feel bad that someone saved Mourinho's skin because he definitely didn't deserve it.

The absolute state of the club right now.

Paper over cracks
Lipstick on a pig
Re-arranging chairs on the Titanic

Whatever you want to call it. That was shambolic. Lucky to get anything from that game.

I think it is clear we haven't got enough up front, so I suggest we get more big guys up front. Benteke and Andy Carroll. We should get Carlton Palmer out of retirement and get him in midfield.

Fellaini doing what our main striker should do, time and time again.

He is our main striker now.

He should be.
Play him up front as a target man and let him chest the ball down to Rashford/Martial/Sanchez/etc for them to finish. And if they are not arround, he'll finish it himself.
Lukaku is simply useless right now. He does not know how to score a goal, which is utterly pathetic.

Am happy for the lads but a bit underwhelmed even though we're through to the knock outs. Wonder who we'll get..

Hope we see Fred again soon:rolleyes:

Corner turned lads!

We are absolutely shit. Dog shit. fecking horse shit. Team full of spineless cnuts. Dinosaur manager who needs to feck off. Board who can get fecked too. Farce of a club. feck off United.
We are still in the same fecking room though.

We are being let down by the front 3 constantly. There was some brilliant 1 touch passing today, even Smalling was passing out from the back. The front 3 are all in the wavelength of their own. Nevertheless we deserved the win and deserved to go through to the last 16.

We were useless and it was a pathetic performance, got lucky that an aimless long ball ended up being a goal.

If Jose read that, he'd probably get seriously turned on.
All those tall, tall men. Oh my.
His dream is to have a team full of players over 6'2".

Positive: Shaw / Fred / De Gea

Rashford must improve a lot in his definition
Martial played decent but was inconsistent
Matic was slow as always
Pogba did not have a positive impact on the game.
I hope that the one who was playing was Stormzy and not Lukaku.

Our tactic was to kick long balls to Fellaini ...

Well I really enjoyed watching the game very exciting and skilful play. I have also been following the very interesting and exciting Britex talks life is great.

Me too. Got caught up in a very lengthy and extremely tedious bit of business and couldn't cut it short. Had I watched the match, it wouldn't have been much different from what I've read so nothing lost. Make the most of the CL lads because we might be kissing it goodbye for a while.

That was ...weird. On the positive side we're through and we'll be a different team in February (more than likely with a new manager).

Our attack and midfield was/is just abominable. This can't go on for much longer surely.

Time and time again i said the same thing. If we're hoofing, have a guy who can hold up the ball. Giroud does that and bring sin Hazard into play quite well.

Moyes would have built a far better squad with the money spent by LvG and Mourinho, I have no doubt about that.
I don’t see any white text. This is a joke right? Right?!

This Moyes love in has to stop. I mean his “best” buys only came good under other managers
