We were actually pretty decent in the first half, and could have gone in 2-3 up if not for Rashford fluffing every chance he got. The second half was atrocious though as they ran out of ideas. I cant even blame Jose tonight, we seemed pretty well set up but we just keep making simple errors and have no killer instinct in the last third.
You deserve to watch all this shite every week.

Watching the highlights (I didn't watch the game) I don't get what the moaning is all about. If finishing was any good it would've been a comfortable victory.

I agree. We didn't play great, but we didn't look that bad either. I thought that Rashford had a lot of the ball (especially in the first half) but didn't do much with it. Otherwise, we could've had a more comfortable win. He has to learn to release the ball earlier and not insist on passing another defender...

Overall, we qualified after 5 games, with two of these games being against Juventus. I think that we can feel satisfied with the outcome.

I hate that I can't enjoy a last minute winner as much anymore. You just know if we keep Mourinho, we will get fecked in the Round of 16 again.

Same. I just complimented the finish, didn't give a flying feck otherwise.

Pathetic second half, may be cos of the pressure to win? First half was decent. We were a composed, quality finisher away from going in comfortably ahead at the break. Which would have made the second half a different game. Quality, that's what we sorely lack...

Can't really enjoy it, because performances like that week after week - even if you end up winning some of them - get you nowhere in the long term

People are overstating how bad the performance was for sure.

The last twenty minutes was pretty awful though and that’s what stays in people’s minds. I think we tired from the early intensity - Similar happened vs Spurs.

The real issue that this is a constant problem. Our forwards aren’t killing games when they have the chances. I wouldn’t have expected too much more whether it was Lukaku up there either in his current state. The quality isn’t there.

It isn’t just going to click is it. I have been fooling myself for a couple of seasons that swashbuckling football and great results are just one or two coaching sessions away... but no... this is it. As good as it is going to get. Celebrate getting out of the group stages. Celebrate IF we get 4th in the league. Heck we may even have a good FA Cup run again. Oh boy... we need a class of 18 to come through somehow.

What is there left to say? Do these players even train together?

The thing that stands out is how desperately we need a leader in the centre of the park, we're crying out for someone to put there foot on the ball and look up.
I think patience with Rashford has to be at an end. Fred will improve- to me Mata should have been on from the start.

Im sorry but that is not how a manager behaves, let alone the manager of a club like Manchester United :O

I reckon we should Ledley King this shit and scrap training. It's clear it's a waste of everyone's time.

14 seasons boys, congratz JM, now what was the question so he went full me and my achievements?

Qualified for the next stage ... I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing
Look at it this way. We will play once Tuesday and once Wednesday then we’re done. No Thursday matches. That’s a good thing right?

From supporters who have watched Solskjaer, Van Nistlerooy, Van Persie, etc, etc., the finishing was abysmal tonight. Fellaini did brilliantly in the last minute, tbf. I celebrated, and am delighted to see the team in the last 16. Always remember, anything is possible - including great and surprising things. Football, fecking Hell. I write this tonight, in full command of my senses.

Jose's done a good job at brainwashing people into thinking this. You're one of them.

Nope, he didnit even have to to anything. United fans just love to overrate the players.

You need to have more than just two good players. Pogba and De Gea are world class, rest is so far from it.

I honestly don't know how to react to the game. We won against a very poor team with a goal that should have been disallowed.

How do you pick a MotM out of that, or rate the players?

I just feel empty inside.

Under LVG it was dire, but this is actually another level, embarrassing again tonight, probably the worst Utd side since 1973!

So what?! Do you need 'world class' players to be performing well every week?

How many world class players do Liverpool have? Arsenal, Chelsea, Dortmund, etc. They have all performed well on a consistent basis this season and haven't got a team of word class players.

Get a team, find the right balance and get them playing well. Jose has had long enough to do this and hasn't. It's not good enough!

But at the end the result was the most important thing.

Is that how everyone feels? I kind of think the fact we almost lost at home to a not very good side might be the most important thing. And played really badly.

Couldn’t give a feck, Matic has looked knackered for months and he’s been kept on, Fred was still getting about and passing and moving forward more than any other player out there and although I wasn’t “there” he looked fine to me, shocking decision.

He might have looked fine to you but he wasn't, he was knackered. He was even talking to Jose at one point just before being subbed, probably to say he's tired. Not a shocking decision, but Fred was good tonight.

Wasn't he about to take Fellaini off before Valencia got injured?

That goal was just a rotten cherry on a bowl of puke, I can't believe what we have become, there is no way the players are as bad as this.

All those teams have much more quality players than United have except Arsenal maybe. Only De Gea and Pogba would be starters for those teams...

Sorry but no club has World Class players in every position, we have good players, some average yes but he's also bought average players himself like Matic. Seriously if you're still supporting Mourinho at this point it's pointless even getting into a discussion with you because you are so brainwashed it's unreal and you deserve to watch this god awful football for life.

Of course they are bad, they were bad under LVG and still are now!! 9 players started the game and the same players were bad under LVG.

I mostly find myself just laughing at our games now and this one was no different, roll on the summer and an end to the joker in charge. Can’t wait.
