Amidst squeaky bums.
This will be confirmed tomorrow when the players fly off to Thailand, but thought we could have a place to predict and then compare in the meantime before posting the news in here tomorrow. The most likely would seem to be:

GOALKEEPERS: Anders Lindegaard, Ben Amos
DEFENDERS: Rafael, Patrice Evra, Phil Jones, Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans, Nemanja Vidic, Alex Buttner, Fabio, Scott Wootton
MIDFIELDERS: Anderson, Ryan Giggs, Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Nick Powell, Wilfried Zaha, Jesse Lingard, Davide Petrucci, Adnan Januzaj
FORWARDS: Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Federico Macheda, Bebe

To join for Australia: David de Gea, Robin van Persie
To join for Japan: Shinji Kagawa

STAYING (injury/rest): Chris Smalling, Javier Hernandez, Nani, Ashley Young
UNKNOWN: Antonio Valencia, Guillermo Varela, Angelo Henriquez, Darren Fletcher

Cole surely won't be called up given that he was just recently away with the England U20's.

Why the hell did I think that the team were flying out on the 15th and that it's starting on the 23rd or something?

Great news! 3 days time and we'll be able to watch United again. Happy days! It's a strong squad too which excites me.

I'm guessing Lingard, Powell, Januzaj and Micheal Keane from youngsters.

Rafael Jones Evans Evra
Carrick Cleverley
Zaha Januzaj Lingard
Rooney

Would be exciting to see. Three of the most promising youngsters slotted into an otherwise first XI team (although with our future CB partnership instead of Vidic and Rio).

Sorry, I missed Valencia off the list! He played a few games after the end of the season for Ecuador so think he's still on his time off. I'm 99% certain he won't be joining the tour until Australia at the very earliest.

Official confirmation of the squad shouldn't be too far off now.

We're taking a smallish squad. Only two strikers.

Wow. I expected more youngsters. It's practically the first team

Yeah, I can only imagine that Moyes is focused on familiarising himself and the first team. That has to be a priority for now, rather than bedding in youth players.

Slightly alarming seeing so few wingers in a Man Utd squad, though obviously injuries are behind that. But still only really a 39 year old, and a player that has just joined the club as wing options (particularly as Welbeck is one of only two strikers in the squad) - maybe we'll see some different formations as a result?

From the first team.

No Vida, Powell, Hernandez, Valencia, Nani, Young and Smalling.

I'm pleased with the squad. Due to injury and other commitments, Moyes couldn't have taken more young players. Pleasing to see the likes of Macheda/Bebe being left behind in favor of Januzaj and Lingard.

Quite exciting. Disappointing not to see Petrucci and a couple more youngsters but very excited to see Januzaj and Keane plus lingard as well. Lingard was very good last summer I thought.

Smalling, Vidic, Powell and Young all have fitness issues. No more news on Nani other than his 'nose' trouble.

Valencia and Hernandez are on holiday.

Edit: My original guestimate wasn't so bad. I've also heard Young may travel but take no part as he is not fit enough.

Good to see we're not taking any dead weight like Macheda or Bebe just to make up the numbers.

Lingard had a very good tour last year, hope he builds on that!

I would actually liked to have seen a bit of Bebe on the tour, he did get good reviews on loan and there is a lack of forwards/wingers there

Good squad. Mostly first team, which is important for a new manager, but with the right youngsters included. With Nani, Young and Valencia all left at home for various reasons and Kagawa not joining till Japan, there should be plenty of opportunities for Zaha, Lingard and Januzaj, which is excellent. Lingard was superb on the last tour, better than most of our first team to be honest. Januzaj is our brightest young talent, and is more than ready for some first team opportunities. And obviously we all want to see what Zaha can do now he's playing with the big boys.

Might be harder for Keane to get much actual game time, but he's another of the youngsters who could well make it with us, so it's good to see him there. I'm pretty sure the likes of Powell, Petrucci and Henriquez will be looking at good solid loan spells, so it's not so important for them to be included. As for Macheda and Bebe, their loan spells last season had the look of 'with a view to a sale' type deals, and hopefully we're pursuing those sales this summer. They're just dead weight at the moment, getting in the way of genuine young prospects.

Looking at that I would say that we're unlikely to see much in the way of wingers this year. Could be interesting

I don't think it necessarily means that. All the absent wingers have reasons for not being there. That said, it's a great opportunity for Lingard and Januzaj, both of whom play best as Silva-esque 'wide playmakers', to show Moyes what they can do. And obviously Zaha will have a bit of a free run at impressing him too, which is nice.
