Premier League fixtures 14/15/16th October

I remember last time City were ok in Premier League, and then posts on Cafe saying it's 50/50 between them and Barcelona. Good times.

They were 50-50 vs Barca. Lost in Spain, won in England. City can beat this version of Barca for sure. I'd have them as slight favorites the way they play now.

God damn it I was so hoping we would be in for de Bruyne before he went to City. :(

And to think there were people on here laughing at City for paying 70 mio. for him.

Where did you get 70m from, it between £50 or £54 million

yep, thanks van gaal for being clueless in ignoring de bruyne but happy to buy a crocked shweinstieger and crazy amounts on an unproven martial, I believe we could have out muscled city for his signature that summer as well as we looked like we had the better momentum out of the two manchester sides at the back of the season before it and had champions league football to offer.

Only spending £100 million on fullbacks too. The man has astounding footballing and business acumen. A footballing purist.

True genius is spending £75m on a striker and then setting up for a 0-0 against a side with a notoriously awful defence.

This season will be a true test on the caf with Kult Of Pep followers from Bayern, Barcelona and other random teams popping out with their praises of their messiah.

Actually the Citeh fans are the most sober of the lot.

Probably but Messi is the x factor that cannot be ignored. Of course, Pep & City are closer to where they want to be than Barca are atm. So today, perhaps - we'll see in Spring

But even last year they played beautiful football, Pep's teams always do this. They were just too toothless up front and now they have the fullbacks to do what Pep wants - plus another season becoming familiar with eachother and Pep's system. I am impressed with the step up David Silva has made and De Bruyne going to be brilliant under Guardiola was so obvious to predict last season

It's the fans of clubs he has left and they have got worse since, playing style wise. You can hear the longing.

That's true. Barca has a chance to fix up the things which are going badly atm. But they can't do much about the midfield, and City will end up being the superior midfield anyway. It would be down to Messi to have an exceptional performance, and in CL he didn't have many of those in the last 2 years. Not with PSG, not with Juve, and not with Atletico the year before.
