Premier League fixtures 14/15/16th October

Hard to understand how he's an expert when he's been sacked so many times. It's like asking Moyes to opine on United games...

Those were fun times when Newcastle sacked him, sank to new lows, while he joined Palace and they started scaling new heights. Inevitably it all ended the way it always ends with Pardew, but hey, he hasn't always been completely useless.

Yedlin on a yellow clattering Redmond, ref with a perfect view - stays on the pitch. The little things that would be overruled by the VAR. Not that I like VAR as it is today, but this clear mistake can be fixed in ten seconds. A more live and instant communication between the ref and someone in front of a TV. Crap for Soton, lucky by Newcastle - they’ll surely sub Yedlin out now.

The incident with Bruno in the Brighton/Everton game would have been dealt with as well. Although it was Michael Oliver who would probably refuse to ever use VAR as he is always right.

1-2 Ayoze

VVD looked as if he had no fault. He is a CB yet he failed to realize his mark was purposely leading him outwide and leave a big gap in Soton center area :wenger:

And Ayoze was supposed to be his initial mark. He ended up picking a player intially stay wide instead. What kind of man marking is this?

We'll see a lot more low scoring games when the marginal off side decisions all start going for defenders.

The bad ones that get flagged off, stay offside with the way VAR is now.

He's trying to impress Klopp with the kind of defending Liverpool are famous for. He'll slot right in up there.

You mean the clear penalty where Bruno charges the player with his elbow first, or was there something else in the build-up that I missed?

Bruno should have been sent off. If Oliver had seen the fact he look where Calvert-Lewin was first he might have rethought the yellow card. Where an elbow is involved it should still be a red to me.

Le Jeune you absolute donkey. Why even make that tackle. Long was going nowhere and even kicked the ball out of play before.

Agreed, Oliver is a tool. And his new haircut is way to Jersey Shore at the moment.

That's criminal defending. A non-league footballer would get dropped for that thicko shit.

The ref has been inconsistent but in a way I'm glad it's stayed 11 v 11, it's been a really fun watch.

Jones gave away a similar pen last year at OT. John Stones is a different matter altogether.
You must have mistaken Lindelof challenge in pre season. I can't recall Jones having similar challenge. And people here call Lindelof the Sweden John Stones.

Bournemouth at OT lat season (may have been 2017) and the game finished 1-1.

Feck, was looking forward to seeing Newcastle above Liverpool

Very different situation. A cut back (feint for a square ball). This was going out of play like Lindelof challenge on Theo.

Edit: Klopp Stay
