Premier League Fixtures (26 - 29 Dec)

Yep, there's a lot more football to play. I also think your point total might be a little bit bloated by the fact you've played two more home games than away games - especially given your away record.

I've always argued that if we're within 5 points by March, we'll have a good chance. Whether we can do that is another question entirely.

Our point total a little bloated despite playing fewer games than everyone?

Yes, because you've had more home games, and also haven't played Arsenal away, Spurs away, Chelsea away etc etc. Look, wherever you are after 38 games is what matters, but what I suspect you might garner fewer points in the second 19 than you did in the first.

N'zogbia was an idiot to do what he did, Wilshere acted the fanny he is by falling to the ground like hed been shot mind, as a player i like N'Zogbia though very skill-full player, would much prefer us to sign him over someone like Ashley Young.

I see another poor referee has probably cost Arsenal tonight not to mention Terrys handball and Drogbas offside against Bolton, but lets not forget the standard of officiating in this country is fantastic......the best in europe by far.....

We've been way below par in the first 19. Irrespective of the fixtures we'll be a better side from here on in. We always are.

You've actually got less cause since we were denied a pen and unjustly had one awarded against us.

"We had a better case for 3 points than Man United. Get the feck in!"

Our recent record at Arsenal & Spurs is certainly better than away at Fulham, Birmingham & co, so we'll see about that.

I honestly cannot remember the last time United had a worse 2nd half than 1st half, was it the season where Rio was banned?

Wilshere's such a fanny...I'm surprised he doesn't wear a snood.

So just to clarify that's 2 of tonight's 3 matches directly result affected via poor referee decisions.....

Im shocked!

What was poor in Chelsea's game, even when you slow the replay of the goal to a whisker whether Drogba it is still extremely marginal either way. With regards to the penalty claim, the ball was smacked at Terry from close range, he had no time to react to it and his arm was at his side, that would have been a very generous penalty.

Drogba was offside marginal or not he was off, had the right decision been awarded your goal doesn't stand, as for the penalty what rubbish, Terry as Terry always does had his arms spread wide and directly stopped the ball going on goal, his arms weren't by his side and the ball merely hit them he put his arms out purposely as the replay clearly shows, he does it all the time and why not as it seems hes immune from punishment for it.

Yeah, I agree that Probert is one of the better refs, I think he could have judged from the triple pike that it wasn't a foul.
You mean like he should've seen the quadruple pike from Bendtner to win the free kick that you got your penalty shout from? *

With help of replays I'd agree that the penalty by no means was a clear-cut one, but my instant reaction was stone-wall penalty. Koscielny's lack of protests suggest he knows he caught him too.

* My point is that just because a player dives/makes a meal out of an incident doesn't mean it was an infringement. Give the diver a yellow card and give him the penalty (or possibly free kick) for the actual infringement. You could say the same about Wilshere. N'Zogbia pushed him with his head and it's a red for violent conduct, but for Wilshere to have his legs collapsing like the twin towers is a dive/making a meal out of it, and could as such be rewarded with a yellow card for diving, which doesn't mean that the red card for N'Zogbia is wrong.

The Wigan penalty was an inch or so outside the penalty box, and also was a dive. It was a poor decision, but in fairness, I was watching a pretty clear stream, and it looked like a stonewall penalty at first. The ref bought it, which is annoying, but it happens.
For me the ref was simply shocking. Neither him nor the linesmen spot the Wilshere/N'Zogbia incident (they needed the fourth official), the Wigan penalty was a clear dive and how he didn't spot McArthur's handball at the end is beyond me, stonewall pen if there ever was one, it wasn't even difficult to see.
Arsenal and United (supporters) have every right to be pissed off at respective officials after their midweek-games IMHO. Only Chelsea getting the rub of green again, you couldn't make it up.

So looks like all the three matches of the title contenders were affected by Poor Refereeing Decisions, and then people say that the managers moan too much.

I'm sure you agreed with the penalty decision when Carrick had a close shot hit his arm just inside the box a short time ago.
