So it's going to be one of those where there will be no retrospective punishment, because one of the officials saw it?
Has to reach over the officials shoulder to glove slap himTo be fair, the linesman didn't have the best view:

What did Sterling do??? Any gifs or vines?
But it didn't, and as was pointed out it could not have been more in front of the ref. I think the angle makes it look far worse than it was.Shelvey's was worse, it could have actually done some damage. Sterling's was a petulant little slap.
So was I!He's talking about Gary Barlow ffs.![]()
I think they changed that rule recently didnt they?
both should of been sent.Shelvey's was worse, it could have actually done some damage. Sterling's was a petulant little slap.
I know Swansea are doing relatively ok in the league but anytime I watch them, they are utter shite. When exactly are they picking up points?
At OT first day of the season … since then not a lot on the roadI know Swansea are doing relatively ok in the league but anytime I watch them, they are utter shite. When exactly are they picking up points?
both should of been sent.
That was just.. Lame..
Both very lucky to not be facing a violent conduct banboth should of been sent.
Imagine getting slapped by a mincer
"Encouraging sings that Brentan is getting it right again" funny feckers!
And hopefully Sterling doesn't get banned, he should be though.

He probably would't get banned if Shelvey didn't also have his incident. There's just no way they can punish one and not the other now, and they have to punish Shelvey, so...Good stuff, best performance in ages (even if Shelvey helped). Lallana MOTM I reckon, hopefully he and the rest of the team can carry on like tonight.

I just checked the fixtures, you've got Leicester, Sunderland and Villa up next. An enforced rest might not be the worst thing in the world for him and Liverpool.
Would miss whoever they've got in the FA instead of Villa then
