Premier League Gameweek 20-21

It was nice technique but underhit and made extremely flattering since Gomez still has no idea he's on the pitch. He's been a headless chicken.

That was one of the most lame performances from Liverpool in a long time. Long may it continue.

Fair point

What a performance. Dominant, commanding and a club going places…but enough about Brighton.

I expected a defeat but that standard of performance is sobering. It’s a full on decline and Klopp doesn’t have the answers. Just keeps playing the same way every week expecting different results.

His plan A is very good when it works but it’s so dependent on having the right players who can do what he needs them to. When those players can’t execute that plan any more he doesn’t have another way of setting up.

Brighton are great. Very well run club.

Looks you guys and ourselves have punched each other out and ETH and Arteta are waiting in the wings. Worrying times, thankfully we at least somewhat resemble a football team by times, big decisions for you guys in the summer, bit of a rebuild needed and I'm not sure FSG will cough up.

Rodgers, Lampard and Moyes will all be gone very soon.

If Everton and West Ham get relegated, that would be almost as lovely as I winning the league.

Pity that won't happen.

Us winning the league though...
I’m not greedy I’d take West Ham going down alone, maybe Leeds thrown in, alongside a title win :p

I wouldnt trade it for Shaw/Rashford .

Obviously. But what about getting him for 8-10m instead of Sancho for 80m?

That's sort of what I'm talking about. Being able to scout and identify talent early before it becomes well known is such an advantage because you can create depth in your squad without having to break the bank or be uber rich.

Why couldn’t you be like this last season?! Football is all about cycles and it’s clear that City and Liverpool being one and two in the league is over.

We need new owners if we want to compete now. FSG are fine but they have lower spending/wage limits compared to City, United, Newcastle, Chelsea etc.
Klopp can’t get anything out of this group any more but we’d be daft to sack him. We won’t get anyone better.

Conte’s bandwagon for tomorrow game leaving soon on platform 1-0, just get on until you can, limited tickets available. :D

Brentford winning and pushing The Dippers into 9th would top it off. I would rather a Spuds win tomorrow though if I could only pick one.
Bournemouth to win to push Leeds closer to relegation would be the perfect end of the day.

I know the feeling I've seen City fans calling for Pep to go today... we're imploding too many players wanting out.

I kinda disagree on FSG, I feel for too long they've said they can't compete but you guys have a lower net spend than Newcastle, Villa, Spurs, Wolves and West Ham in the last 5/10 years despite being in 3 CL finals recently, surely FSG have to answer for that? Its one thing not to be competing with City, Chelsea, United and Arsenal (though no real excuse for not competing with Arsenal) but those other guys is a worrying trend if you ask me.

I think FSG’s approach and “moneyball” style has been justified by the output we’ve had over the last four or five years but yeah I get your point. They’re lucky they found Klopp because without him we’d be no where near competing for anything with their spending style.

Imagine wanting Pep sacked. Nuts.

Everton messed up massively by not sacking Lampard pre World Cup when it was obvious he was doomed. Could have got a new Manager in and given him some time to train with the squad and assess for new signings, instead they continued with him and look at the mess they're in now. Astonishingly poor from Evertons board not to get rid of Lampard, it's not like he turned the club around last season, he was lucky to avoid relegation last year ffs.

Some absolutely fecking baffling decisions of games to be given their own timeslot this season. Brentford vs Bournemouth? Honestly?

They've gotta show everyone, best get 2 shithouse teams out the way in the same timeslot to free up the better teams for other weeks I'd guess?

Can't believe Toney is still playing. FA really do move snail pace with these investigations.

I genuinely thought up to 2pm that Brighton-Liverpool was the half 5 game, must be confusing it with the possible FA cup meeting although Wolves will knock Liverpool out in the replay.

I don’t think a new manager is even helpful at this point. Must be very depressing for them. They could get in Dyche and hope for a bounce but feels like they are stuck in a cycle they can’t shake.
