Premier League Gameweek 20-21

unlimited budget Pep losing the league to his weirdo assistant and a couple of his unwanted reserve scrubs deserves major criticism

The fact he isn’t running away with the league with that Norwegian freak he’s got up front is surely a sackable offence?

You’re joking aren’t you? The Liverpool and City teams of the last few years were far superior to this Arsenal team who despite being good, aren’t anything special.

Sure. This is all just luck.

How highly do you rate Martinelli? For me he's very underrated. Does the right thing almost every time and his technique is so dependable.

Don’t agree at all. Klopp and Poch are two of the best coaches ever to manage in this league. They’ve been a massive influence on the football their teams play.

As for “random quality”, Arsenal have spent a tonne of money on very good players and have produced some outstanding players from their academy, who would excel at any club. Which is exactly like Liverpool and not all that different to City.

Exactly how arteta has been on this Arsenal team.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying these are average players. I am saying the quality of their play is not just due to the quality of their players, it's a lot down to their coaching, training ground work. The way they control the games, their pressing. All are reminiscent or how City and Liverpool have played over the last few years.

World class potential. I've said for a while he's a bigger talent than Antony, and I'm someone who rates Antony very highly.

If they do win the league, how do we justify our Lego Pep shouts?

As long as we can frustrate them for 60 mins, we can do it. They’ve got nothing on the bench that can change the game for them. A great XI but mediocre squad. It’ll be interesting to see if they’re still playing like this come March because Arteta is pretty much playing that XI (Jesus instead of Nkeitah) every league game until the end of the season if he can. Fatigue is going to build up and teams are going to read them and counteract sooner.

Missing out on Mudryk is a blow to them and if they can’t get an alternative in January, then they‘re all in on Martinelli being fit and not losing form.
As long as they play their 2nd string in Europa then they should be fine in terms of fatigue. They should be going all out for the league and forgetting about everything else.

United have 2 extra European games and probably 3 extra league Cup games compared to Arsenal, I don't think it's realistic that we overturn a 9 point gap over them

Surely your lot can take some points off them?
You've still got to play them twice yet though.

And their record against City is embarrassing

Trust me our inability to create was not just vs you guys. Whatever hope we have at home, we have none away as we just can't make chances. We've had 4 shots on target in our last 3 away games.
If we can beat Spurs and Wolves this week and you beat Palace and Arsenal we have a chance because Arsenal might get twitchy if the tables shows.

Arsenal 19/47
City 20/45
United 20/44

But if they have a minimum 5 point lead and a game in hand, we won't have the balls for the fight.

Lloris was the main issue. All he had to do was stand strong and take it in the chest, the ball would bounce away.

Instead he flopped himself backwards and directed the ball into his own net.

Similar to DDG's mistake a few weeks ago. You couldn't imagine the likes of Cech/VDS/Schmeichel doing that.
Thats it? I think the defender kept a space decent enough so he wouldnt get skinned and a shot coming in on the stronger left.
All would be fine if the keeper just doesnt do whatever he did.

Would be nice if Spurs can score before 65. Would make for a great game.

How has Son gone to shit so quickly? He was one of the top PL attackers not so long ago.

Yeah, that one's baffling. He's just 30 and seems one of the fittest players in the league.

Didn't seem at it for Korea either, so not sure it can just be a Conte/Spurs thing.

He just hung onto the ball on the wing for too long, did nothing but pass to a teammate next to him and ran away as his teammate was surrounded by 3 Arsenal players thanks to him.
He actually hid from the ball. I’d take him off right now

Arsenal fans will say Odegaards wasn't a foul at Old Trafford, but that one was :wenger:

As good as Arsenal have been Spurs really should be level here on balance of big chances. They can be gotten at.
