How some of you don't see that van dijk kicked lamela ?
But he was already offside at the time of the original pass.Looked like the last touch was off a Liverpool player to me.
I would agree with you, I thought it would have to be a deflection that diverted the pass towards Kane when otherwise it would have gone elsewhere for it not to be offside, as it is the ball was headed to Kane before the defender touches it so surely it should be offside?Isn't Kane offside when the ball is played to him? What does a defender getting a touch have to do with anything?

Do you think it was a Pen (the second one), or not?can't wait for VAR. The amount of ludicrous descions resulting in dropped points has been atrocious.
It's not, and you do. And with better quality football to boot.
If the last touch is from the opp player it isn’t offside.
2nd pen incident - Kane scores - 2:2
But he was already offside at the time of the original pass.
Agent Mikhi on it.Get the Gooner lover banner ready, mods.
Yup. There is noway he pulled out, the contact was there before he realised he was there. The rules for the first pen make no sense, but I think it's how the current interpretation reads. Despite Kane being offside and Lovren only touching it BECAUSE Kane is there, somehow that's not interfering
Second one anyone denying it must just not have seen the angle. VvD kicks Lamela - hard - before realising he's there. It jars VvDs foot right around in the replay.
It might have been brave but it was clearly wrong - as Red Forever says, it was a clear dive (as was Kane's) and it will be interesting if in retrospect any action is taken because it is precisely for those situations the new rule was introduced.
Karius played well. Both goalkeepers were in typical form tonight.
Consolation all round then.I’m glad it happened to Liverpool and all that but that’s shameful. At least he gets banned for it now.
Could only find this

For SpursKarius played well.
WorldieCan we have an appreciation of Wanyama's thunder-strike?
You'll make a serious profit on him if he does go. He's absolutely brilliant, gotta say I thought he'd be ok for you at best. he's been phenomenal.
He didn't touch him.
We had a better one with about 30 greensmileys that we always used to use.

Where's the giant Liverbird lol smiley
That's very humble of you.Worldie
You think the FA will ban Kane for that? You think they'll ban the Harry Kane for anything?![]()
Not really, I think the player has to misplace a pass, or control the ball badly. If it deflects off the defender, its still offside.
It's one of the greyer areas of the rulebook, nobody discusses this also lol.
They’re both wrong. It’s the same reason why the WBA goal in the Cup game was wiped out by VAR - Kane is interfering with play by being offside and pressuring the defender into making an error. That's what I think but the lino and now Carragher seem to think the defender getting a touch means its not offside. I can't know more than a professional official and an ex pro player, can I?
Well the FA website disagrees. It doesn’t matter, it’s a new passage of play when it hit a Liverpool player. The linesman made it quite clear when it happened.
A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by:
- gaining an advantage by playing the ball or interfering with an opponent when it has:
- rebounded or been deflected off the goalpost, crossbar or an opponent
I can imagine they want Kane and Salah.
Incredible really. Think they need a video only showing the kick from the right angle. How some of you don't see that van dijk kicked lamela ?
