Premier League Gameweek 30+31

Too bad a certain poster just can't see it.
I have regularly said that Traore isn’t good enough beyond being an excellent dribbler.

I just don’t think he’s Daniel James unlike you.
To be fair, his decision making does improve if we compare to previous seasons. But like what you mentioned, the improvement was nothing spectacular to the level where we can over-hype him especially to the level when a certain poster believed could make us into title challenger.
I never said he would make us into a title challenger you also know this. But rather than admit you’re wrong you resort to deliberately misreporting what I said.

I said Traore is better at RW than our current options which would improve the team.

I didn’t say he’d make us title challengers.

Put your left testicle on Everton doing the dippers tonight.

Don't think about it, just do it.

After Richarlison came out and said that Van Dijk wasn't as great as everyone says he is and he's dribbled by him loads I reckon that we will get smashed.

We really didn't at all. We were looking like we'd be lucky to finish in the top half before Bruno came in.
At the end of the day we have been in and around the 5th spot without our best player for most of the season. I think we’ve done okay.

Fred and Mctominay have been fine but obviously they’re not Pogba. Bruno was a massive lift though of course because we have no other creative players in that position. The likes of Fred, Scott and Matic are all defensive.

Im interested to see how teams deal with the double threat of Pogba and Bruno though. It’s like City having KDB and Silva it must cause havoc with the opposition having that many good players on the pitch to try and defend against, that’s before even considering Martial/Rashford/Greenwood etc

But again, that's not really true. Our form before and after Bruno came in is night and day, and I expect will continue to be so. From between September and January we shifted between 6th and 11th, and I think we were even 14th at one point. We've stayed in the top 4 hunt because the teams around us have been similarly inconsistent, but there's no way we'd be still in the hunt for 4th most seasons.

I agree Fred and McTominay have had good seasons, but as you've noted yourself, that's not where the problem is. We're solid in midfield, certainly not easy to break down, and (mostly) good in defence. Our problem is and always has been creativity this season, and without Pogba/pre Bruno we have been woefully inadequate when it comes to creating chances and scoring goals. I'm quite hopeful that now we've got a midfield that is both sturdy and creative, we'll look a lot more potent, and I think maximum points from the remaining games is a real posibility.

If Everton can't at least give Liverpool a game tonight they can feck right off.
You just know they will give everything when United plays at Goodison. And when the dippers Come they bend over. Hope im wrong though!

Let's say it this way, I was a kid who fell in love with United when Wenger and his frenchies were good and french pundits couldn't shut up about them while ignoring United.

a bit like the pundits here, then.

Good man x2, btw

Absolutely. We’ve had to work very hard for the points we’ve gained this season due to a dire creative situation. I mentioned this in a Martial thread but when you put into context our main options this season you see the following:

Midfielders (in order of minutes played):
  1. Fred 3119
  2. James 2808
  3. Rashford 2454
  4. Pereira 2205
  5. McTominay 2152
  6. Matic 1768
  7. Mata 1734
  8. Lingard 1714
  9. Greenwood 1683
  10. Fernandes 757
  11. Pogba 637
Realistically the only pure creator he’s had much contact with is Mata and even then he’s 7th on the list. Our two unquestionably best creators are at the very bottom of the list.

McTominay Fred
James Pereira Rashford
Martial
That’s been our average options (I know it’s a simplification of the possible combinations) which I think clearly shows two massive problems we had this season.

CAM and RW were not first team standard (I like Dan James as a squad player for LW
and counter attacks) we sorted out CAM with Bruno and the football improved unquestionably. With Pogba back I’m certain it will improve further.

I don’t think maximum points is possible though. It would take an unbelievable winning streak.

Looks like we have Fleck back for today thankfully. No word on O’Connell though.

Totally agree,I’m quite excited for the rest of the season.

Sheffield Utd, Aston Villa and Everton wins today will put the pigeons amongst the cats.

Going with Newcastle, Chelsea and Liverpool treble today..

I don’t think Sheffield have the firepower to get the win.

Villa also very toothless up front and Liverpool should beat Everton with ease..

Every result so far has been great for us so far. Would be a huge win if we manage get the 3 points today.

When last did Everton pick up a point against Liverpool?
They are a disgrace.

@Random Task We got us a winner here!! Will you hold on to it till the end of the match?

You on tonight with the podcast bro? @Rolandofgilead

And just to keep this on topic! I really do hope Aston Villa do one on Chelsea as well, but that is definitely not worth any nuts. Right? @P-Nut
No show this week mate. With the playoffs give the go ahead it’s a really busy week so we’ve taken the week off.

Someone's been playing a lot of RDR2 during lockdown

Newcastle could do us a big favour today. Wouldn't hold your breath on it mind.

The delayed, over the top crowd noises crack me up. Chance has already gone and then the crowd goes 'Ahhhh!'

Also I still maintain that Allan St Maxim will become a top class player. He'll be picked up by a top team before long. I know we have Rashford but I'd still sign him for our LW. Reminds me so much of Mane the way he runs at people.

Wtf is wrong Joelinton, decent player but can't finish a ball to save his life. It's like watching Welbeck reincarnated.

The two of Saint Maxim and Almiron are great players to have on the counter for Newcastle though.
