Premier League Gameweek 30+31

Sheff United just a 5 man defence well drilled side. There isn't a lot else there is there?

Sheffield United and Arsenal looking like the whipping boys since lockdown. Their quarter final should be fun.

Should also give an idea that the non top team will be in disadvantage in this period since they will play multiple games per week, big squad is needed. Not good sign for Aston Villa vs Chelsea.

Why would they need to be a lot else? They're a team of championship players who are comfortably sitting in the top half of the PL. They can't just go out and buy half the Portuguese national team like Wolves.

Even their formation is also 5 men defense.

They’re Saudi owned now tbf though.

Every time you see a team perform like this you feel like "Shit we gonna have a field day against these clowns! Especially since they can't use those two players"

Then when that day arrives, the replacements play the game of their lives and the entire team bounce back with a terrific performance...

Yet I still believe we'll smash em 5-0

Step up Phil Jagielka

Bentaleb is at Newcastle? Completely missed that one

I think they got him in January, not a big surprised if someone missed it. Which I considered it as weird signing since they had the siblings in midfield beside Hayden & Shelvey. Unless if Bruce doesn't think the siblings are good enough that he needed to sign another midfield then it might make sense.

They are? Guess I shouldn't be surprised. Even Bournemouth are Russian owned and bankrolled their way to the PL
Yeah, they bought a stake back in 2013 and took full control a few years ago I believe. The guy is worth something like £18 Billion I think.

I'm not sure "attempts" at anything are a good stat to highlight someone's talent.

I could stand there and "attempt" to run past people all day as well.

Sheffield United were performing a lot better than the sum of their parts before the lockdown, so it was always going to be tough for them with a three month break and no fans.

Hopefully we can put them to the sword in midweek!

This is going to sound ridiculous, and i'm in no way suggesting there is the same level of talent there. But the way Saint-Maximin tries things and if they don't come off, or he gets bullied off or fouled and he just bounces straight back up and tries again without letting it affect him, reminds me a little of Ronaldo when he first broke into our team.

Well, every players who like to do tricks to beat players are always like that. They will keep doing it no matter what, it's just their style of play.

Well, every players who like to do tricks to beat players are always like that.

But some let it affect them less than others.

A lot of overhyped wide attackers in Premier League have only ever been one tough tackle or one bad miss away from going hiding for 90 minutes. Some players have this ability to just let it just bounce off them without a second thought and I see hints of that with him.

But anyway, what the feck do I know? I've been feeling confident all weekend that the 90 extra minutes of football in Villas legs will see them take points off Chelsea today and then 0 match Newcastle go and thump Sheffield United.

Panning to JT when everyone was kneeling.
